Year after year, Heidi makes headlines with her unforgettable and over-the-top Halloween costumes – and this year already seems to be no exception.
The runway queen teased her next terrifying look on Thursday by sharing a clip of an artist sketching a horror movie-inspired poster featuring the model.
Artist Josh Hernandez drew a creepy image of Heidi in orange crayon and the results were posted to her Instagram account.
The video showed off the meticulous detail that Hernandez put into the artwork – culminating in a lifelike and chilling image of Heidi with a terrifying expression.
“Heidi Klum Halloween… coming soon,” the poster announced.
Predictably, Heidi remained tight-lipped in the caption about what exactly she was going to be this year.
Instead, she added a series of Halloween-themed emojis. “#heidihalloween2023 #comingsoon Artwork by @mad.charcoal,” she added.
What will she be this year? Heidi teased her next Halloween costume on Thursday
Heidi has promised that her 2023 Halloween costume will be as ‘extra’ as ever – which is saying a lot in the wake of the seven-foot, realistically textured earthworm suit she donned for last year’s festivities.
‘It will be an extra. It’s going to be really extra,” she told DailyMail.com exclusively from the America’s Got Talent red carpet.
The AGT judge added that she has been losing sleep worrying about the concept for her next costume, which will follow a decades-long string of headline-making Halloween disguises for the former Victoria’s Secret model.
‘It’s given me sleepless nights. You know me,” she said of making the decision.
Heidi went on to describe how her “team” had expressed more than mild ambivalence about the idea of her wearing a “worm” costume.
‘They said, ‘Really, a worm?’ They actually wanted me to come up with a plan B and a plan C, but I’m not like that,” Heidi insisted. “For me it’s plan A.”

Surprise! Predictably, Heidi remained tight-lipped in the caption about what exactly she was going to be this year
To really succeed at Plan A, she says, you really need to, as she put it, pursue Plan A.
“If you think about all kinds of other things, it’s not going to be successful or it’s not going to be that big,” she continued, adding that she’s generally determined to stick to her “Plan A” when the time comes. to her annual costume.
‘Everyone in the neighborhood always says, ‘Think of something else. This is crazy. And the worm is crazy,’” she continued to provide feedback on her costume idea.
She went on to describe how “the same thing is happening this time” – with her team imploring her to “come up with a plan B.”
And while her team certainly has her best interests at heart, Heidi made it clear that she won’t be fooled by naysayers.
Heidi further admitted that her “team” had expressed reservations about her dressing up as a realistically textured earthworm for Halloween 2022.
‘I have to admit: I love it. And then I feel like it’s going to work out,” she continued of her 2023 costume idea.
“To this day, I never know if it’s going to be any good, and I don’t want to let my Halloween fans down. There are so many creative people in the world and I don’t want to disappoint them.’
As part of her worm costume last year, the model’s hubby Tom Kaulitz, 33, joined in the fun and arrived with Heidi dressed as the fisherman who had her ‘hooked’.
But Heidi told DailyMail.com that her family is ‘not involved’ in whatever her ‘plan A’ costume is for Halloween 2023.
Almost twenty years ago, during Halloween 2006, Heidi appeared on the red carpet as the forbidden apple in the Garden of Eden.

Wow! She also appeared as Shrek’s Princess Fiona in 2018
The TV personality’s penchant for over-the-top Halloween looks has been on public display since 2000. That was the year she showed up at a party as “Heidi… but a little more S&M,” as she said. Page six from what would turn out to be a rather understated choice, unlike Heidi’s future Halloween outings.
Since then, her costumes have spanned a wide range of genres and concepts: from cartoon characters – for example Betty Boop in 2002, Jessica Rabbit in 2015 and Shrek’s Princess Fiona in 2018; to mythical figures – as with Lady Godiva in 2001, or in 2008 as the Hindu death goddess Kali; to objects – such as the forbidden apple from the Garden of Eden in 2006; and further.
As for other versions of herself, she also went as old lady Heidi in 2013; and in 2011 she appeared in a skin-tight bodysuit with human musculature, embodying something of a flayed Heidi.
