The Motion Picture & Television Fund raised more than $4.3 million at its 22nd annual star-studded benefit on Saturday evening.
The exclusive event was co-chaired by Sterling K. Brown and Ryan Michelle Bathé, America Ferrera and Ryan Piers-Williams, Jodie Foster and Paul Giamatti.

In Chosen Family, Heather takes on the role of Ann, a yoga teacher searching for inner peace amid her chaotic family dynamics and less-than-ideal dating life.
Despite her struggles, Ann struggles with the inability to say no, which leaves her constantly entangled in the problems of others.
As she tries to repair her fractured relationship with her sister Clio (Stiles), Ann leans on her friends Roz (Savage), Max (Thomas Lennon) and Frances (Odessa Rae) for support.

The Modern Master Award is the highest award according to the SBIFF website.
“Established in 1995, it was created to honor an individual who enriched our culture through achievements in the film industry,” the statement reads.
The award was renamed the Maltin Modern Master Award in 2015, in honor of longtime SBIFF moderator and renowned film critic Leonard Maltin.
Past winners include Jamie Lee Curtis Javier Bardem, Nicole Kidman, Bill Murray Brad Pitt, Glenn Close, Gary Oldman and Denzel Washington.
