Heath Ledger’s daughter, Matilda Ledger, is reportedly planning an extended vacation to Australia so she can meet her late father’s family before heading off to university.
Matilda, 17, whose mother is Oscar-nominated actress Michelle Williams, grew up in the United States after Heath died of an accidental prescription drug overdose in 2008.
Heath’s parents, who live in Western Australia, have said in the past that they would like to see more of Matilda, whom they affectionately call their ‘little New Yorker’.
But as the teenager will soon finish high school, she is said to be planning a gap year Down Under to “understand the other side of her heritage”, she reports. New Idea.

Meanwhile, Heath’s family is said to be “very excited” by the news of their granddaughter’s proposed extended trip.
The Ledgers reportedly signed over all of Heath’s assets, worth an estimated $16.3 million, to Matilda upon his death in 2008.

Sally, Heath’s mother, told Us Weekly in 2018. “Let’s see [Matilda] in New York next week. So we’ll be there for a few days and see how it’s grown.

The actor’s sister, Kate, also said: “I love telling [Matilda] stories about her dad and how she grew up. I think it’s very important for her to have a good idea of where she comes from so she can get to know herself.’
