A group of heartless vandals who destroyed Christmas decorations put up by a young boy with a rare form of cancer have been branded as 'cowards'.
The teenagers damaged Christmas light decorations outside a property on Mayfair Drive in Wodonga, north of Victoria, at around 2.45am on Wednesday.
The decorations were carefully hung by Ethan, a nine-year-old boy living with Ependymoma, a rare brain tumor.
With the help of his mother Tiffany, Ethan created several hand-painted Pokemon decorations that were displayed on shelves in the front of their home.
When Ethan woke up on Wednesday morning, he was shocked to discover that vicious vandals had destroyed his hard work just days before Christmas.

CCTV footage of the incident shows a teenager damaging the planks after ripping one moments earlier.
Tiffany said her son was heartbroken by the group's cowardly act.
“The incident has devastated our little man,” Tiffany said 9News.
“My carefree little boy who loves life to the fullest requested a Pokémon board as big as him for our Christmas show this year, which quickly grew to seven boards.”
Tiffany said this Christmas could be her son's last and the family struggled to understand why the teens decided to damage the decorations.
“The Pokémon boards have given Ethan great joy, along with many locals, and seeing them destroyed has broken him,” she added.
Ethan has undergone numerous CT and MRI scans over the past year as part of his ongoing treatment for his rare form of brain cancer.
Babies diagnosed with the condition have a low five-year survival rate, despite chemotherapy saving many lives of those suffering from the disease.

Tiffany says she reported the incident to police and claims the group vandalized several other displays in the area.
Daily Mail Australia has contacted Victoria Police for comment.
Katrina, a local, has started one GoFundMe page is also raising money to repair the display, with residents having raised $710 of the $1,000 goal so far.
“This Christmas could be his last and this poor little boy is so upset that some kids destroyed it,” she wrote.
'I want to raise money to help this family create the best Christmas show ever and have the best Christmas ever [their] son Ethan and make the most of these and wonderful memories.”
