An Australian influencer has revealed that her one-year-old daughter has been in a coma in hospital for more than 100 hours.
Allanah Harris and her husband Brock are popular The Harris Family TikTok page, which documents the lives of their four children for more than a million followers.
Allanah and Brock have a one-year-old daughter, Daisy, as well as James, seven, Chase, three, and Ellie, two.
Daisy suffers from tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC), a rare genetic disease in which benign tumors grow in the brain and other major organs.
Since Daisy was six months old, she had been suffering from multiple seizures every day. In June, the couple discovered that TSC was the cause.
Allanah shared a heartbreaking update about her baby girl on Instagram on Sunday, saying she had been in a coma for over 100 hours and doctors were working hard to find the cause.
Allanah shared two photos: one of her hand comforting Daisy’s bandaged arm and a portrait photo of her daughter.
“Daisy was once a happy and energetic girl, but recently things have changed and she has been in a state where she appears to have been in a coma for over 100 hours,” Allanah revealed in the lengthy post.

“Unfortunately, there are no medications or stimulants that Daisy can safely take to wake her up. Daisy has had numerous needles/blood tests while she is “asleep” and she doesn’t even blink.”
Allanah explained that Daisy, who also suffers from focal cortical dysplasia, epilepsy, infantile spasms and encephalopathy, was first diagnosed with TSC in June last year, the same day her first child Lily, who was stillborn, passed away in 2020.
She added that the reasons behind Daisy’s current comatose state remain a mystery.

“But moreover, the doctors are still trying their utmost to understand why Daisy decides to shut down completely, without any response, and puts herself in a comatose state,” Allanah wrote.
‘All medical evidence to date indicates that Daisy should be awake and healthy, apart of course from her severe developmental delays, but unfortunately this is not the case.
‘Investigations are underway and information about Daisy is being rapidly passed on to other hospitals, not only in AUS but in other provinces, to find answers.’
A GoFundMe was founded by Karen, Brock and Daisy’s grandmother, to help cover the costs of Daisy’s ongoing treatment and has raised over $22,000.
“Daisy was once a cheerful and energetic girl who has recently taken an unfortunate turn and has now put herself in a state that resembles a coma for over 100 hours,” Allanah revealed in the extensive post
Concluding her heartbreaking post, Allanah urged her followers to donate to the campaign.
“Daisy has been unresponsive for over 100 hours and we have no idea when she will choose to wake herself up. It could be tomorrow or it could be 6 weeks from now, but it is something she can only do safely on her own when she is ready,” she said.
‘Even after Daisy decides to wake up, we still have a long way to go to figure out what causes this level of sleep and slow brain activity.
“I never, EVER thought it would come to this, but we linked the gofundme in our bio. Even $1 would mean the world to us.”
