Heartbreak High star denied access to sensory room at Harry Styles show at Marvel Stadium

Heartbreak High star Chloé Hayden claims she was denied access to the sensory room at Harry Styles’ Melbourne concert at Marvel Stadium because she didn’t ‘look autistic enough’

Heartbreak High star Chloé Hayden has launched a scathing tirade against Marvel Stadium in Melbourne after claiming she was denied access to its sensory room.

The 25-year-old actress, who lives with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), requested access to the room on Friday while attending a Harry Styles concert and said she was turned away by security.

The sensory room contains noise canceling headphones, weighted blankets and tools so that people with autism or severe sensory issues have a safe space to come to.

Chloé took to Twitter after the concert to express her displeasure at being told she didn’t “look” autistic.

“Hey @marvelstadium remember you can’t preach inclusion and then not let me into the sensory room because you decided I don’t look autistic enough,” he began.

“How disappointing that the same venue has proven to fly its wake-up flag and ticking the disability box is where its values begin and end,” he added.

The disability advocate has since filed a complaint with Marvel Stadium and shared its content with the herald sun.

“As an individual with a disability and an active voice and advocate for the disability community, it is exhausting to continue to fight for access and the ability to exist in public spaces, particularly places that pride themselves on being accessible,” she wrote.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Marvel Stadium for comment.

Chloé’s story follows Em Rusciano’s admission that she would also request access to the sensory room at the stadium to help her manage her ASD.

The 43-year-old comedian’s post angered media personality Meshel Laurie, who accused her of “faking” her diagnosis to gain influence on social media.

Earlier this month, Rusciano got into a war of words with Meshel, 49, after Laurie called her a ‘c**t’ in a shocking tirade.

The podcaster accused Em of ‘jumping on the bandwagon’ for influence and refuses to back down despite thousands calling him out on social media.

Laurie took aim at the Emsolation hostess after she said she might need to use a “sensory room” when attending Harry Styles’ concert at Marvel Stadium due to her newly diagnosed autism.

I am extremely sensitive to light, sound, and textures. Sensory overload and burnout happen to me five or six times a week, so when I saw that Marvel Stadium had a sensory room, I was excited,” Em explained on Facebook.

‘These are just a couple of examples of how my ASD shows up, but I shouldn’t have to explain myself. However, this week I have found myself having to put up with people debating whether or not I am autistic enough. How is that okay?’

In response to Laurie’s attack, Em uploaded a photo of her looking relaxed in a floral dress and told her fans to leave ‘troublesome’ Laurie alone.
