The long-running 2Day FM Sydney show, Mike E & Emma, has been axed after almost two decades on air.
Co-host Emma Chow confirmed the heartbreaking news on Instagram on Monday in a sad statement.
“I have bittersweet news to share today. After almost fourteen years, Mike E and Emma’s journey has come to an end,” Chow began.
Chow then thanked her loyal listeners for their years of support.
“We were babies when we first started at The Edge, and I am so incredibly grateful and proud of every second we spent on radio together,” she added.

In August, Hit Network announced a huge shake-up with some of their talent amid a bloody breakfast ratings war with KIIS FM.
The commercial radio network revealed the Mike E & Emma show would be moved from its Sydney breakfast slot on 104.1 2DayFM as it battled KIIS FM’s The Kyle and Jackie O show.
Beginning August 26, the show moved into the national night time slot Monday through Thursday and the national breakfast time slot on weekends.
