Tech executive Nima Momeni exchanged heart symbols with family in court after the 38-year-old was accused of stabbing Cash App founder Bob Lee to death.
Momeni allegedly stabbed Lee in the heart after vowing to “come down on him hard” and grilling him over his relationship with his married sister, with whom the Cash App founder exchanged intimate text messages, prosecutors alleged in the court.
He is charged with murdering Lee on April 4 in San Francisco around 2:35 a.m. after spending about two hours with him at his married sister Khazar’s apartment.
Khazar appeared in court on Friday with her plastic surgeon husband, Dr. Dino Elyassnia, wearing designer sunglasses. She and her brother immigrated to the US from Iran as children.

Prosecutors shared new facts about the case in an attempt to keep Momeni behind bars.
In a motion filed with the court, they revealed a text from Khazar to Lee in which she gushed about what a “classy man” he was.
Hours before his murder, Nima had questioned Lee about his relationship with Khazar, who is married to a prominent local plastic surgeon, demanding to know if she had taken “drugs” or done anything “inappropriate” while spending time with him. spent.
He had been drinking with her and one of Lee’s friends earlier that day.

An unnamed witness who said he had been friends with Bob for 10 years told police he believed Lee and Khazar had an intimate relationship and that her marriage may have been “in jeopardy.”
Both he and Khazar lived in Mill Valley, an exclusive suburb of San Francisco, before Lee moved to Miami last October.

Lee also had a drink with Khazar at 3:30 pm the day before he died. The friend was also with them. Lee invited Khazar to his hotel room, but she said no.

Lee was seen entering Khazar’s apartment at 12:39 am. Nima had been there since 8:31 PM. Surveillance footage showed them leaving together at 2:03 a.m., 30 minutes before the stabbing.

He then sped off, threw his knife into the street, and left Lee to stumble through the streets of San Francisco in a desperate, last-ditch effort to cling to life.
He was taken to hospital, but died of his injuries.
Lee’s family has vowed to cooperate with prosecutors to bring Momeni to “justice.”
They thanked police for making an arrest in a joint statement last night.
