Hayley Palmer fell for Mark Labbett when he flashed her his Toby Carvery card

TV host Hayley Palmer fell for The Chase star Mark Labbett, aka The Beast, when he showed her his Toby Carvery card.

The gorgeous blonde met Mark, 57, at the National Television Awards in October, where they immediately became a hit.

She has since flown to Los Angeles to be with him while he is filming Master Minds for Game Show Network.

But it hasn’t all been smooth sailing and she described one of the struggles they faced while there.

Talking about when they met, Hayley, 41, told MailOnline that she had been wearing flat shoes under her long dress.

But she said she realized it was actually that one nighthe had to wear heels because Mark is six feet tall.

The couple has the same agent who persuaded Mark to appear on Hayley’s show ‘Saturday Night with Hayley Palmer’.

During the programme, she challenged Mark to an 80s quiz and impressed him by answering 4/5 questions correctly.

Mark then showed Hayley a glimpse of his Toby Carvery card which Hayley is “trying to get my hands on” to this day!

The pair bonded when they went on a non-date to watch the Dirty Dancing Press Night at the Dominion Theater.

While there they bonded over their shared love of Maltesers, with Hayley commenting that Mark makes sure he brings a bag for them to share on every date.

Speaking of their struggles, she said, “They don’t sell Maltesers in LA, so we’re struggling to keep up with our own tradition.”

They don’t know yet if this is love because it’s ‘too early to tell’

“We’re taking it very slowly,” they said. “But this is the first time we’ve been able to do more than the odd date so it was fantastic.

“We’re doing well and we’re happy.”

“We’ve found that we get along and that we can walk hand in hand and feel relaxed in LA.”

And it sounds like the couple knows exactly how to treat each other.

“Our idea of ​​a romantic hot date is to go to a local American Diner called Patti’s for some cheese toast!”

Hayley shared a photo from their last date at LA’s Cheesecake Factory.

She captioned her photo, “The Beast defeated by pancakes @cheesecakefactory. Don’t even want cheesecake!’

The television star was seen waving his white napkin as he threw it on the table after attempting to eat the dish.

Mark has been open about his weight loss and how he shed 10 stone.

Last month, Mark looked slimmer than ever when he shared a photo of himself enjoying a crumble on social media.

A source told The sun: “Hayley took a plane to LA on Wednesday to see Mark. He works very hard, but wants to make time for her on weekends.

“She has been so busy with her own projects in London, but they are both determined to make this work.

“Hayley even has an interview with a US radio station, a podcast appearance and she will cover GB News from Hollywood.”

Hayley reportedly plans to fly back to London on Monday to fulfill her work commitments for her Sky show and Ideal World, while Mark will remain in the US for the rest of the month.

It comes after Mark shared details about his new relationship after his romance with TV presenter girlfriend Hayley was revealed.

The quiz king has admitted he’s struggling with his time now in a new relationship, having wooed Hayley over a series of romantic dates.

Mark was recently asked if he’s been enjoying quizzes with his new girlfriend, but he admitted he didn’t have the time.

Mark told the Mirror“I’m on the road so much, plus the little matter of a six-year-old boy I’m co-parenting, so I try to spend as much time with him as I can.”

“I’m filming in America next month and I’m already planning what I’m going to do in July and August with Katie to see which weeks work.”
