Hawks’ Dejounte Murray ‘under investigation by NBA after yelling and bumping into an umpire’ following home loss to the Celtics
Atlanta Hawks’ Dejounte Murray could be in trouble when the NBA opened an investigation into his conduct with officials on Sunday night, according to reports.
Murray and Co. were defeated 129–121 at home by the Boston Celtics in Game 4 of their playoff series.
And the 26-year-old guard was not happy at the end of the game. Footage shows Murray screaming and making contact with a referee after the defeat.
His conduct is under investigation by the NBA, a league source said ESPN.
The clip shows Murray walking up to referee Gediminas Petraitis and saying something before bumping into him.

Murray can then be seen turning, pointing and screaming as he walked away with two individuals attempting to intervene and lead him off the track.
Murray had 23 points as the Hawks came to the brink of postseason elimination.
The Celtics’ win on Sunday gave them a 3-1 series lead leading up to Game 5 in Boston on Tuesday-evening.
Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum each scored 31 points as the Celtics led the Philips Arena for almost the whole way.
