Fears for Hawk Tuah girl as embarrassing new video goes viral for all the wrong reasons

Hawk Tuah girl Haliey Welch’s fifteen minutes of fame may be over after her performance at an Alabama music festival left the crowd less than impressed.

Welch, 22, rose to fame last summer when she used the term “hawk tuah” to describe spitting as part of a sex act during a viral street interview.

However, the internet star may be losing her status as the internet’s ‘IT girl’ after she was met with a disappointing audience at Rock The South Festival last weekend.

The video shows her being brought on stage to introduce Warren Zeiders and Jelly Roll, only to be greeted by an unfriendly crowd.

To warm up the crowd, Welch shouted, “Come on for Warren Zeiders and Jelly Roll!”

Her enthusiasm was not matched by the audience, who made no effort to cheer her on.

The reactions have left many wondering if the end is near for the Hawk Tuah girls in the spotlight.

“Ugh, can we be done with this girl now,” someone said. “I think people are over her already,” a second said.

“She was in June. This is July. Time is up,” a third person said. “Shows how quickly the viral flame can die,” another said.

“She was funny for a while, but this is just stupid now,” said one. “Honestly, after the third time I heard it, it was over. Time to move on,” said another.

Others defended Welch, saying they loved seeing her on stage and complimented her for making the most of her time in the spotlight.

“She’s much better to watch than the political bullshit we’ve been watching. More Hawk Tuah,” someone said.

“What I think is cool is that she has shown that she is a good person and that she has accomplished a lot with her 15 minutes of fame, compared to others that we keep making famous for some ungodly reason,” said a second.

Tennis star Nick Kyrgios recently slammed Welch’s presence at the boxing match between Jake Paul and Mike Perry.

Kyrgios tweeted on Twitter: “There is no connection between fame and being good at anything anymore,” adding a laughing emoji.

Welch responded to Kyrgios’ criticism by saying she won’t let haters get her down.

“Let me put it this way: I don’t wake up and start hating on someone else. I don’t understand why people do that,” she told TMZ.

“They have their own opinions, they’re entitled to them, I don’t care what they think. Not at all. If they wake up and feel that way, then that’s how it is.”

In the weeks since her viral street interview, Welch has taken full advantage of her sudden public image, launching her own merchandise line, appearing onstage at a Zach Bryan concert and touring New York.

That impromptu interview has led to a lucrative career for the Tennessee-born actress. She has since signed a contract with her management company, The Penthouse. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the company helps her book gigs, earning her as much as $20,000 each.

According to Jonnie Forster, founder of The Penthouse, the management team has been working “day and night” to provide Welch with the right projects for her blossoming career. And it’s all been carefully thought out.

In collaboration with famed TikTok musician Jax Writes Songs, Welch has released a short and powerful jingle explaining the meaning of “hawk tuah.”
