Has Adele given up on the American dream? Why the star ‘is moving home to London’ – from baby plans to UK gig talks and being an England fan… but what about the rebuild of her $58m Beverley Hills mansion?

According to reports, Adele is planning to move back to London after completing her Las Vegas residency later this year.

The 36-year-old singer and her current husband Rich Paul, 42, bought Sylvester Stallone’s $58 million Beverly Hills mansion two years ago, but demolished most of it during a major renovation.

The singer moved to Los Angeles in 2016, previously saying she did so to get more bang for her buck.

But eight years later, and with no sign of completing the renovation of her Rocky mansion anytime soon, has Adele given up on the American dream for now?

Adele’s assistant Rose Moon moved back to the UK a few weeks ago and is currently organising the singer’s return, The sun reported on Thursday.

Speaking about the megastar’s return, a source said: ‘It’s all part of a wider return home and once her shows in Las Vegas are over in November, she’s said she’ll be back.

‘Rose has already moved back to the UK and Adele will follow her. Just like football, it looks like Adele is coming home.’

According to the source, Adele is “British through and through,” which has inspired her to return to her roots.

Adele is currently taking a break from performing to recharge before returning to the United States in October to kick off her Vegas Weekends With Adele gig.

From baby plans to UK gigs and her support for England at the European Championships this week, we discuss all the signs that the singer is planning to return to her roots…

Baby plans

Adele, who confirmed she married Rich Paul late last year, said: ‘When I’m done with all my commitments and all my shows, I want to have a baby’

Adele already has 11-year-old son Angelo with ex-husband Simon Konecki, but told fans onstage at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas in May that she’s hoping for a daughter.

The singer, who secretly married Rich late last year, said: ‘When I’m done with all my commitments and all my performances, I want to have a baby.

“I want a girl because I already have a boy. I feel like she’s maybe the person I love the most in the world, but also probably the person I hate the most in the world — that’s what I think is going to happen.

“She’s going to put me in my place all the time, isn’t she?”

The Rolling In The Deep singer joked that the baby will eventually grow up to be a “bossy little queen” because of the parents she will have.

She said, ‘With me as a mom and Rich as a dad, she’s going to be a bossy little queen, right?’

She said when talks arose about parting their lives, “Ultimately I thought, ‘We’re not going to do that. You bought the house across from my house. Nothing changes for Angelo.'”

Performances in the United Kingdom

Earlier this year, it was reported that Adele was in talks to perform in the UK in 2024, which could earn the singer £10million per night. The singer last performed in the UK in 2022 (pictured)

Earlier this year, it was reported that Adele was in talks to perform in the UK in 2024, which could earn the singer £10million a night, after her Las Vegas appearance rekindled her love of performing.

The singer was said to have been offered several venues for her homecoming show, including the 62,000-seat Tottenham Hotspur stadium.

A source told The Sun in January: ‘Her stage fright has subsided, her voice is very strong and she’s ready to perform in Europe again.’

“The offers are pouring in. It’s up to her how many shows she wants to do, although we don’t expect a full world tour.”

Adele last performed in the UK in 2022, when she headlined two nights at BST in London’s Hyde Park to an audience of 65,000.

England watch

Football fan Adele was seen passionately shouting at the noisy English crowd to ‘be quiet!’ just before Harry Kane took his penalty during the Three Lions’ European Championship semi-final on Wednesday

The 36-year-old singer flew to Dortmund in Germany to watch the team play the Netherlands in their epic 2-1 victory and was fully in the spirit of the match.

Football fan Adele was seen passionately shouting at a raucous England crowd to ‘shut up!’ on Wednesday night, just before Harry Kane took his penalty during the Three Lions’ European Championship semi-final.

The singer flew to Dortmund in Germany to watch the team win 2-1 against the Netherlands and was in the mood for the match.

A funny clip on Twitter shows the tense moment just before Kane fired his shot on goal after being awarded the controversial penalty.

And as some excited fans screamed behind her, she quickly turned around and told them to be quiet.

Although she now lives a glamorous lifestyle in LA, far away from her Tottenham roots, and often socialises with her celebrity friends, her Cockney accent was clearly audible at the time.

Fans were quick to react to the hilarious moment, saying, “SHATAPP!” “Ah, we really love Adele here,”

‘I love her, she’s so brutally honest!’, ‘She was so real here’, ‘This is ICONIC’, ‘Let the queen enjoy the game!’

Weather

Last year, Adele revealed why she didn’t want to move back to the UK.

Adele explained the reason for this to The Hollywood Reporter: ‘I really suffer from seasonal depression, so the weather is good for me. Sometimes it’s weird, because I’m very British.

‘Because it’s a bit harder for me to go out these days, the best thing about LA is that everyone goes to each other’s houses. I like that.’

Houses

Adele previously told British Vogue that she invested in three Beverly Hills mansions to get more bang for her buck.

“The kind of house I have in LA, I could never afford in London. Never,” the Tottenham native told the outlet.

Adele said she “looked at houses” in London before making the decision and moving to the United States in 2016.

“It’s hundreds of millions of pounds,” she said. “I don’t have that much money. I’d throw up.”

The actor had planned to take the pottery with him, but Adele wanted it to remain at the estate.

He told the Wall Street Journal: ‘She said, ‘That’s not a deal. That’s going to ruin the whole deal.’ She wanted the statue.’

Adele is now in the process of tearing down the enormous mansion and embarking on a major renovation project.

Adele, who has still not moved into the property two years after purchasing it, is reportedly shelling out “millions” for extensive renovations, which include adding a five-car garage and a fire-resistant roof to the home.

It appears the singer expanded the sprawling property, which already boasted eight bedrooms and 12 bathrooms, to build a garage that can accommodate several luxury vehicles.
