Harry Styles is said to be single after amicably ending his relationship with actress Taylor Russell following a trip to Japan.

The pair, who started dating 14 months ago, were last seen together during a performance in the capital Tokyo in April.

Weeks later, Russell, 29, appeared at the New York Met Gala without Styles, who remained across the Atlantic in London.

Friends have since claimed the couple opted to end the relationship amicably after spending time together in the Far East.

A source said The sun: ‘Harry and Taylor have ended their relationship. They went through a difficult period after their trip to Japan and distanced themselves from each other for a while.

‘He’s been to America and she’s been to London. They made a lovely couple and it was clear that Taylor made Harry happy.

“However, lately things have become tense and they have taken some time off.”

The reported split comes after a ‘besotted’ Styles was said to be ready to start a family with the Canadian actress.

A source told MailOnline in March: ‘Harry feels like he’s lived ten lives, but one thing is certain: his 30s will be nothing like his 20s.

‘He has experienced all the glory anyone could wish for. He is now ready for the next chapter.

‘He’s in love with Taylor. He wants a family with her and this is the next phase of his life.”

Last June, the singer and actress were first spotted together leaving a museum in London, and at one point reportedly also held hands, according to TMZ.

It’s still unclear when the two stars first crossed paths, but both Harry and Taylor attended the 79th Venice International Film Festival last year in September 2022.

Russell, 29, appeared at the New York Met Gala in May without Styles, who remained across the Atlantic in London.

Styles notably promoted Don’t Worry Darling, while Russell celebrated the premiere of Bones And All.

The Grammy winner previously dated Olivia Wilde from January 2021 until their divorce the following year in November 2022.

At the time of the split, a source told People: “He is still touring and is now heading abroad. She focuses on her children and her work in LA. It’s a very amicable decision,” adding, “They are still very good friends.”

Styles’ mother Anne Twist, who is believed to have remained close to Flack in the years that followed, shared a heartfelt poem on social media in the wake of her sudden death.
