Harry Styles embraces close friend Angelica Jopling as he makes the most of four day break

Harry Styles took full advantage of a short break from his hectic touring schedule on Tuesday, inadvertently hinting at how he spends his long hours on the road.

The singer wore a hood emblazoned with the Waystar Royco logo – a fictional company name instantly recognizable to fans of the recently concluded HBO show Succession.

Apparently, a fan, Styles, 29, suggested he tuned into the dramatic four seasons as he zigzagged around the world on his ongoing Love On Tour.

The singer was back in London after breaking a record by welcoming the largest ever open-air crowd for a musical performance in Scotland at Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium on Saturday night.

With four days to kill before returning to the stage in Saint-Denis on June 1, Styles paid a visit to an art gallery in Marylebone where he crossed paths with Angelica Jopling – the cousin of Caspar, the husband of fellow pop star Ellie Goulding.

The former One Direction star broke the attendance record at the Scotland rugby union team’s Murrayfield Stadium on May 27, where more than 65,000 fans gathered to watch his performance.

Styles also welcomed tens of thousands to his previous show in the Scottish capital on Friday May 26, but on Saturday he set a benchmark as the largest audience for a musical performance in the country’s history.

An official statement from show promoters DF Concerts & Events and BT Murrayfield reads: ‘Saturday night’s Harry Styles concert is Scotland’s best-selling stadium concert ever with an attendance of over 65,000.

“Thanks everyone for a fantastic evening.”

The figure surpasses that of local star Lewis Capaldi, who broke the indoor record in January by selling 14,951 tickets for a live show at Aberdeen’s P&J Live.

Before his shows in Edinburgh, the former One Direction star booked his hotel under the name Oliver Sudden, which is believed to be a twist on the phrase ‘suddenly’.

This could refer to how Styles’ life changed overnight when he took part in the now-defunct ITV reality show The X Factor.

Or he could have used a red herring to confuse fans as Oliver Sudden is also the name of a South London based rapper.

A source at the hotel said: “We all had a good giggle when we saw the name – it took us a while to understand what it meant.

“However, Harry is so famous that he has to use a different name when checking in or else it would be a bloodbath for him with his fans following him wherever they know he is.”

The As It Was singer is said to use a secret back entrance to get in and out of the building, and is driven around town in an S-Class Mercedes.

It is famous that One Direction could not leave their hotels through the main entrance because thousands of their fans would be waiting outside.

It was believed that Styles stayed in a £3,000-a-night suite at the Caledonian for his two sold-out concerts at Murrayfield stadium as part of his Love On Tour.

The singer is halfway through the final leg of his Love On Tour, a mammoth 169-date venture that began nearly two years ago at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

His final run of shows will take him through England, Ireland, Wales and mainland Europe, where it is expected to conclude at the RCF Arena in Reggio Emilia, Italy, on July 22.

Styles has developed a reputation for celebrating diversity and inclusion throughout his numerous shows, often encouraging fans to proclaim their sexuality, propose to their respective partners, and even duet with the singer as he travels the world.

On Saturday’s show, the feather-clad singer, backed by thousands of cheering fans, presented an unlikely reveal of his gender before leading the crowd in a chant of ‘no Scotland no party’.
