Manchester United supporters have praised Harry Maguire for his “professional approach” in losing the club’s captaincy.
Maguire revealed that United manager Erik ten Hag has chosen to take the bracelet away from him.
The central defender joined from Leicester United in 2019 and was appointed captain of the club by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in January 2020.
However, he is no longer a regular base player for United.
“After talks with the manager today, he has informed me that he is changing captains,” Maguire wrote on Twitter. “He explained his reasons to me and although personally I am extremely disappointed, I will continue to give my all every time I wear the shirt.

Many United fans felt that Maguire handled the situation in a very mature manner.
