Harry Kane celebrated his £100 million move to Bayern Munich by wearing a pair of personalized football boots on his first day at his new club.
Kane finally completed his move to the German champions on Saturday morning and immediately joined his teammates for training before making his debut in the German Super Cup against RB Leipzig hours later.
The 30-year-old was spotted wearing new boots and had a mysterious date stitched into the side.
The date ‘17.08.2023’ was clearly visible on the side of the shoes, leading fans to wonder about the meaning of that specific date.
One possible explanation is that it could be his wife’s due date as the couple prepares for the arrival of their fourth child.

Kane had said Kate would give birth in a few weeks, but if the boots are a reference to her due date, they could welcome their fourth child on Thursday.
Kane’s partner Kate is heavily pregnant and during his first Bayern Munich press conference on Sunday, the striker claimed she would give birth in the coming weeks. However, the date on his boots may indicate that the baby is actually arriving much sooner.
Kate was cleared to fly to Munich with Kane and the rest of the family on Friday while he underwent his medical checks before sealing his departure from Tottenham. She also attended his first game against Leipzig at the Allianz Arena.
Kane revealed that he and Kate still have to make a decision on whether to return to England or stay in Germany for the birth, while also keeping tight-lipped about the mystery date on his boots.
“We’ll do what works best for us as a family,” Kane said when asked where Kate planned to give birth.
“Kate was at the stadium to see my debut, with her family, my mum and dad and brother.
“It will be something we will all remember forever. Another baby is due in a few weeks and a lot is happening, but my family is behind me completely.’
Kane admitted during his press conference that the last 24 hours before his move to Bayern were ‘very busy’, revealing he still has to arrange accommodation as his family looks to settle in Germany.
He seems to be having another busy week, especially when the date on his boots is the due date, which is only three days away.
It would also come the day before he is expected to make his Bundesliga debut, with Bayern traveling to Werder Bremen on Friday.
