Doha downtime: Harry Kane, Jack Grealish and Declan Rice enjoy some group games, as England’s stars enjoy a day off in the Qatari sunshine after securing a place in the Doha Cup quarter-final World against France.

The England stars are enjoying some downtime after securing their place in the World Cup quarter-finals by sealing a 3-0 win over Qatar.

Gareth Southgate’s side have been pictured playing pool matches and recovering before beginning preparations for their quarter-final clash with 2018 winners France on Saturday.

Harry Maguire and Jude Bellingham relaxed by the pool in the Doha sunshine while some of the team hopped on spin bikes to build up their muscles.

Luke Shaw, Bukayo Saka and Nick Pope were just a few of the players who chose to get on the bikes on their recovery day.

The whole team also stretched out on mats around the pool and some worked a bit more indoors.

The Three Lions are expected to return to full training tomorrow as they begin preparing to face their toughest test yet in France.

England entered the tournament among the favourites, and have shown little to suggest they should not remain so, scoring 12 goals in four games through eight different players.

They have also managed to keep three clean sheets in a row, which bodes well, although France are firing on all cylinders, especially their star Kylian Mbappe.

Now all eyes are on Saturday as they will try to advance to the final four in the main tournament in Qatar.
