Harry Kane is open to Bayern Munich move after £60m offer, as Man Utd fear tough Daniel Levy talks
REVEALED: Harry Kane are open to a move to Bayern Munich after they offer £60 million, with Alan Shearer’s goalscoring record in the Premier League not the deciding factor as Man United fear tough talks with Daniel Levy
- Bayern are confident that Kane will accept a transfer to Bavaria this summer
- But Tottenham remain adamant that he is not for sale and will reject all offers
- It now remains to be seen whether Bayern will come back with an improved offer
Harry Kane is open to joining Bayern Munich this summer after the German club launched a sensational £60million swoop for the Tottenham striker.
The Bundesliga side, led by former Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel, are confident the England captain will accept a transfer to Bavaria this summer.
Tottenham – who are about to make a formal bid for Leicester striker James Maddison – have suggested Kane is not for sale and they would reject any offers.
Yet that position is believed to be tested by offers worth between £90 million and £100 million for their talisman.
Munich have approached Tottenham, but their offer of £60 million falls far short of the north London club’s valuation.

It now remains to be seen whether Bayern return with an improved offer to further test Spurs’ determination to keep Kane at the club for Ange Postecoglou’s first season in charge.
It is clear that Bayern are reluctant to meet Tottenham’s asking price.
Kane has made it a priority to stay in England when he leaves Spurs as he chases Alan Shearer’s Premier League goalscoring record.
However, his only realistic English suitor, Manchester United, is looking at alternatives amid concerns over his price and the prospect of negotiating with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy.
There is also the feeling that if Kane were to move abroad he could one day return to the Premier League to break Shearer’s record of 260 goals. Kane scored 216.
Kane is 29 and is believed to be able to play into his late thirties or later. The striker is over the injury problems that hampered part of his career and his off-field professionalism has raised expectations that he could play for another ten years.
Swedish legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic retired earlier this month at the age of 41, a point that has not gone unnoticed.
This has been reported by sources in Germany Mail sports that Kane – who still has no major honors – would consider a move to the Allianz Arena, where a challenge for trophies would be guaranteed.

Kane has 12 months left on his current contract but has given no indication he would be open to an extension, leaving Spurs with the prospect of losing the striker for nothing next year.
Spurs have cemented a position of emergency by signing goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario, 26, for an initial £17.2million on a five-year deal from Serie A side Empoli.
With Hugo Lloris set to leave the club after 11 years, Vicario will become Postecoglu’s second signing after Dejan Kulusevski completed his permanent move from Juventus. And there is growing confidence at the club that Tottenham will complete the signing of priority target Maddison.
Spurs are preparing a formal bid for Kane’s England team-mate, believed to be in the region of £45 million. Personal terms have already been agreed verbally, with Maddison set to earn £170,000 a week. And Leicester are interested in signing Tottenham midfielder Harry Winks, who spent last season on loan at Sampdoria.
