Harry Kane has become the 'face of Bayern Munich' according to club legend Lothar Matthaus.

The England captain has made a huge impact for the Bundesliga giants since his £100million move from Tottenham during the summer transfer window.

He could be embarking on a record-breaking season after already scoring 24 goals in 21 appearances this season.

Kane will be joined in Germany by his wife Kate and their four children, something that Bayern Munich boss Thomas Tuchel believes could lead to him achieving even higher levels of performance in the future.

Bayern legend Matthaus, meanwhile, has claimed that Kane has already become a 'great ambassador' for the Bavarian side.

Matthaus praised Kane and said he is making the Bundesliga 'more present internationally'

Kane's performance is expected to improve once wife Kate and their four children arrive in Germany after the England captain found a luxury villa for the family to live in.

He told Air sports: 'He is so good, very good, not only on the pitch, he is the face of Bayern Munich.

“It's not just in Germany, he's good for the Bundesliga, to make us more present internationally and get more interest.

'Harry is a very good transfer, we are very happy. He has now scored in 15 games, he has scored 20 goals in the Bundesliga, top scorer.

'He has a very close relationship with the fans, he is good with the media, he gives the interviews. He is a great ambassador, we couldn't have a better ambassador from England at the moment than Harry Kane.”

Kane will finally be joined in Germany by Kate and their four children: Ivy, 6, Vivienne, 5, Louis, 2, and Henry, born on August 20 this year.

The England striker has been living on his own in a £10,000-a-night suite since joining the Bundesliga club, and last month reported he had already spent £1million at the Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski Hotel in Munich.

However, Kane found a luxury villa for the family to live in, located in a small town south of Munich, just under 10 miles from Bayern's training ground.

This ensures there is plenty of room for the family of six, as well as Kane's brother and agent Charlie, his parents Kim and Pat, and his two grandmothers when they come to visit.

Bayern boss Tuchel expects Kane's performances to improve even more once his family joins him in Munich.

“He's a real family man, you feel the difference when they're there,” he said last month.

Kane joined Bayern in the hunt for trophies after failing to win any during his time at Tottenham.

Bayern are currently four points behind Bundesliga leaders Bayer Leverkusen, albeit with a game in hand.

They are also one of the favorites to win the Champions League, having drawn Italian Lazio in the round of 16.
