Harry Kane breaks his silence with his former Bayern Munich boss Thomas Tuchel in advanced talks to become the new England manager

Harry Kane has made his first public comments since news broke that Thomas Tuchel had entered advanced discussions over England’s managerial position.
With Gareth Southgate stepping down from his post at the end of this summer’s European Championship – after reaching a second successive final – Under-21 boss Lee Carsley was put in interim charge.
With three wins and a defeat in his four competitive games at the helm, Carsley was considered a serious contender to take on the role full-time, although he was always going to face competition.
News emerged on Tuesday that ex-Chelsea and Bayern Munich boss Tuchel had entered into advanced talks with the Football Association over the vacant position.
Given his status as England captain – and his relationship with Tuchel since their time together at Bayern Munich last season – Kane was understandably faced with questions about the ongoing process, but he insisted he knew very little.

āTo be honest I haven’t been told anything so until it’s known I can’t really comment so we’ll have to wait and see,ā he said, as reported by Sky Sports.
‘Obviously I know Thomas well from last year and (he’s a) fantastic coach, a fantastic person, so I’m sure the FA guys will get in touch with me if they know more about it.’
