Harry Kane broke another record on Friday evening by scoring Bayern Munich’s opening goal against Cologne.
The England forward scored his 18th league goal of the season since his mega-money move from Tottenham to Germany in the summer, as he extended his lead at the top of the Bundesliga goalscoring chart.
The goal was a gift and the No. 9 may not score an easier goal this season. Former Stoke man Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting did the hard work and forced a Koln defender to clear the line after his attempt.
But the approval only went as far as Kane, who accepted the offer to cross within yards to score again for Bayern Munich.
In doing so, he surpassed the records of both Jadon Sancho and Kevin Keegan for scoring the most goals by an Englishman in the Bundesliga before the season even started in December.
More to follow.
