Harry Hill has sensationally claimed that some clips from You’ve Been Framed were doctored by the producers who worked on the ITV show.
59-year-old comedian Harry was the presenter of the program, which showed viewers’ hilarious home videos with commentary from the presenter.
The iconic comedy series ran for a total of 31 seasons before ending in 2022 and was a firm family favorite for years.
You’ve Been Framed allowed members of the public to submit their hilarious home videos for the enjoyment of its millions of fans.
Contributors received £250 for every video submitted and broadcast on TV – and Harry claims some staff members also took part in the promotion.

Harry revealed during an appearance on Hits Radio that producers came up with creative ways to fill the episodes while lining their own pockets.
He said: ‘You could always spot a fake and we were quite tough on them. They only really came in when we came up short…
“When I started making the show, which is true, the producer was getting married and he needed the money for the wedding, so he submitted clips under different names.
‘She somehow managed to get hold of a hedgehog and dropped it from the counter onto the sink, presented it and got £250. It’s a national scandal!’ MailOnline has approached ITV for comment.
The popular show was originally presented by Jeremy Beadle between 1990 and 1998, before being replaced by Lisa Riley until 2003.
Jonathan Wilkes held the fort for one series between 2003 and 2004, before bosses brought in Harry, who hosted the show until the end.
ITV called time for You’ve Been Framed as viewers turned to social media platforms such as YouTube and TikTok for funny clips.

As many as 15 million people watched during its heyday, but viewership dropped when the final episode aired in August 2022.
A TV insider said this The sun: ‘The fact that You’ve Been Framed is on the shelf is a sad sign of the times.
‘It’s a different world from the heyday of Jeremy Beadle. Why would viewers tune into a show with funny videos when they could see the same thing on the Internet?
‘Crazy videos are extremely popular on social media and the right video can go viral. There’s a thrill in achieving that, even if you don’t earn the £250 You’ve Been Framed paid for contributions.”
Harry recorded 341 of the 701 broadcast over the past 33 years.
Previously, people were asked to submit their videos for a fee, but the request was removed from recent Sunday replays.
ITV also removed the You’ve Been Framed section of their website, which also invited people to contribute clips.
Although the program was inexpensive to create, it took time for producers to research the videos, which did not allow intentional violence or injury and left out intentional scenarios.
Speaking about some of the surprising content submitted, Harry previously said: ‘I don’t get to see the long list, but I know there are a lot of fakes – and a lot of sex videos.’

You’ve Been Framed was based on the Japanese show Fun TV With Kato-chan and Ken-chan, which first aired in 1986.
America’s Funniest Home Videos followed in 1989 before a number of other versions were made around the world when home video was at its peak using camcorders rather than digital devices.
Harry Hill previously revealed that old episodes of You’ve Been Framed required major fine-tuning because they contained jokes about dead and disgraced celebrities.
He told the Mirror: ‘It is becoming increasingly common for the person I am talking about to have passed away. And they had to remove a lot of references after all those people were arrested under Operation Yewtree.”
ITV bosses were forced to apologize in 2015 after it aired an old episode of You’ve Been Framed which included a joke about Cilla Black hitting her head during her ‘last show’ on television.
The star died aged 72 from a stroke after falling and hitting her head at her Marbella home in August that year while sunbathing on her private terrace.
Furious fans were left distraught and complained to ITV, calling them ‘crass’, ‘sick’ and ‘insensitive’ for allowing the joke to be broadcast.
