Harry and Meghan ‘will reach out to royal family’ – after Netflix documentary and tell-all memoir
>
Harry and Meghan insist they will focus on mending their relations with the royal family, once their Netflix documentary and the prince’s memoir are released.
Sources say the couple have spoken about “reaching out” to the prince’s estranged relatives after the “inevitable furore” around the projects has died down.
But royals have questioned whether family members, particularly Harry’s brother Prince William, who has been especially hurt and angered by the depth of his betrayal, would agree to such a proposal.
“The problem is that when it comes to the Sussexes and these revenge projects that they’re so hell-bent on, people ask when will that be enough?” said one.
“Given the circumstances, it’s not unreasonable to ask if they’re even interested in mending their relationships with the family.”

Harry and Meghan insist they will focus on mending their relations with the royal family, once their Netflix documentary and the prince’s tell-all memoir are released.
This week’s trailer for their upcoming Netflix documentary series, titled Harry & Meghan, suggested the couple still have a score to settle.
The footage includes a voiceover of Harry gravely saying, “No one sees what goes on behind closed doors” over a black-and-white photo of his wife in an armchair, apparently crying.
The film then immediately cuts to a shot focusing on a pinched-looking William and Kate at the 2019 Commonwealth Service in London, with the Sussexes sitting meekly behind them.
Royal sources have said the Duke and Duchess see it as a “declaration of war”.
The minute-long Netflix sneak peek, now being widely advertised on US TV, strongly suggests the Sussexes will deal with rumors about their tempestuous relationships with royals.
In a deliberately tantalizing comment for an off-screen producer, Meghan adds: “When the stakes are so high, doesn’t it make more sense to hear our story from us?”
The streaming giant, which signed the pair as part of a multi-million dollar production deal, is understood to plan to release the six-part documentary in two halves of three episodes each.

The trailer was released on the second day of William and Kate’s highly anticipated US tour (pictured in Boston).
The first will arrive next Thursday, December 8, the three-month anniversary of the death of Harry’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth.
The second will come a week later, on Thursday, December 15, the day the Princess of Wales holds her second annual Christmas Carol Concert at Westminster Abbey to recognize heroes in the community. It will be attended by other members of royalty and will be broadcast on Christmas Eve.
In addition to the Netflix series, royals are also gearing up for the release of Harry’s memoir ‘Spare’ in January.
The title is a direct reference to his position as William’s younger brother as the “heir’s spare”, at least until the future king’s own children were born.
Sources have said the royal family is “unlikely” to react publicly to any attacks by Harry and Meghan, but they will consider their position carefully when hearing what the couple have to say.

The Prince of Wales speaking at Speaker’s Corner outside Boston City Hall at the start of his tour with the Princess of Wales.
The late Queen said of her 2021 Oprah interview, in which they made a series of vitriolic allegations about the royal family, that “memories may vary.”
Harry had always refrained from hitting his beloved grandmother, but he may not have such qualms now that she’s passed away.
He previously accused his own father, King Charles, of abandoning him both emotionally and financially, while Meghan accused the royals of racism and the Princess of Wales of making her cry during a pre-wedding fight.
Many of his allegations have been widely condemned or refuted.
