Harry and Meghan are accused of trying to GAG teachers and students at NYC school they visited in 2021 ‘by prohibiting them from making negative social media posts now or in the future’

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are accused of trying to gag teachers and students at a New York school they attended two years ago.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited Public School 123 Mahalia Jackson, one of the poorest in New York City, in September 2021.

Meghan, 42, was dressed in a $5,000 suit and Cartier jewelry to read to second-grade students from her picture book The Bench, while Harry, 39, sat down with the kids.

But advisors from their Archewell foundation demanded that the Harlem school sign a clause banning anyone from making negative comments The sun.

The request also covered any social media posts “now or in the future.” Sources close to the Archewell Foundation have insisted that standard practice was followed.

Prince Harry and Meghan’s visit to Public School 123 was documented in their Netflix series.

The former costume actress wore a $5,000 suit and Cartier jewelry during the visit to the school, where 95 percent of children face economic hardship.

Freedom of information requests have revealed how the couple’s advisers at Archewell tried to protect their image.

It also highlights how their team banned four British newspapers from attending an event at the World Trade Center, even though it is a government-owned building.

Plans for the Sussexes’ trip began six months before the event and were managed by Toya Holness, a member of the couple’s PR team.

Archewell representatives emailed the Department of Education three days before the visit to Public School 123.

They requested the “appearance release,” including the gagging clause, and asked them to have it executed by their lawyers.

Another email from NYC schools press secretary Danielle Filson had asked about the best way to get it all agreed, but it’s not clear if the Sussexes’ request was signed.

The parties also shared their views on the language in the Ministry of Education’s press release.

Filson wanted to remove the reference to The Bench, saying, “I just wanted to make it a little less promotional.”

The revelation comes after Prince Harry and Meghan made a surprise appearance on Kevin Costner’s ‘One805 Live!’ charity event for first responders on Friday.

The couple was joined by their close friends Oprah and Ellen DeGeneres as they took another step into Hollywood royalty.

The fundraising event – which featured “last chance” tables costing $12,000 – was hosted at Costner’s $26 million oceanfront estate in Summerland and featured notable guests including Katy Perry’s parents.

Upon their arrival, the Duke and Duchess – who have just returned from a PDA-packed performance at the Invictus Games in Germany – were spotted backstage chatting with Costner, his VIP guests and senior police and fire officials.

Harry and Meghan were introduced on stage as special guests and Meghan presented Kevin with an honorary award – before doing a mini Royal-style walkabout to greet other attendees.

Meghan, who recently pulled the plug on her Archetypes podcast, beamed at the camera throughout the event, while Harry was sometimes caught staring into the distance.

After their moment on stage, the couple headed to the VIP area where they were stopped by pop singer Katy Perry’s mom and dad and posed for a selfie.
