Harrison Ford has had one of the greatest acting careers of all time with nearly 100 credits to his name spanning nearly 60 years, but he acknowledges that his dedication to his craft may have come at the expense of his family life.
The 80-year-old actor was extremely candid in a new cover story feature featuring Esquire while speaking openly about juggling his career with parenting and his marriage to Calista Flockhart, who he was spotted with earlier this week.

Ford responded with brutal honesty when he said, “I can tell you this: If I had been less successful, I’d probably be a better parent.”
He continued by speaking candidly about the concerns of his 58-year-old actress wife Calista, explaining, “What I still talk about from my wife, like I don’t take mental health seriously. I take mental health seriously. I was trying to say, as I explained to her, it’s that I process all the flaws that people go to psychiatrists for, because I accept my flaws.

“I accept my flaws and my failures – I don’t accept them, I own them. And the more consistent gardener is certainly the better parent, and I’ve been out of town, up my ass most of my life.”
Harrison and Calista share one child together; 22-year-old son Liam Flockhart.
The actor has four older children from his previous marriages.
Ben, 56, and Willard, 54, are his sons from his first marriage to illustrator Mary Marquardt, 78. He shares Malcolm, 35, and daughter Georgia, 32, with his second wife, ET: alien screenwriter Melissa Mathison, 65.
In February, Ford made waves in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter as he famously said, “I know who the fuck I am.”
The Star Wars actor tried to be more aware of the use of profanity when he admitted that his wife Calista wasn’t too happy about that earlier interview.
He asked D’agostino, “Hey, if you don’t mind, leave out the f***in’ A.
” My wife still makes fun of me about that Hollywood Reporter thing, and I try not to say that too often.
‘Me and the writer sat on folding chairs in a horse box. It didn’t feel like an atmosphere formal enough for me to have to clean up my language. And they printed every f***.’

Ford and Flockhart met at the 2002 Golden Globe Awards and began dating soon after, later marrying in June 2010; they can be seen in Cannes earlier this month
The line eventually became the main headline for several publications and he even shed light on it in the new interview with Esquire after taking a long break when he talked about sacrificing parenting for career.
He said, “I think that boils down to ‘I know who the f*** I am.'”
Ford and Flockhart met at the 2002 Golden Globe Awards and began dating soon after.
He proposed over Valentine’s Day weekend in 2009 and got married just over a year later on June 15, 2010 in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Ford will soon be seen in a reprise of one of his signature roles in Indiana Jones And The Dial Of Destiny, which will hit theaters worldwide on June 30 following its Cannes premiere earlier this month.
