Harrison Butker attended the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl ring ceremony Thursday night with his wife Isabelle by his side, nearly a month after his controversial speech at Benedictine College.
Butker’s appearance in a beige cream suit also came a week after he helped save teammate BJ Thompson when the defensive lineman went into cardiac arrest.
Isabelle wore a green dress with matching shoes to complement her husband of six years. The couple also have two children together.
The three-time Super Bowl champion has come under fire in the past month for his comments, including calling women “housewives” and saying men set the tone in relationships.
‘I think it is you, the women, against whom the most devilish lies have been told. Some of you may have successful careers in the world, but I would hazard a guess that the majority of you are most excited about your marriage and the children you will bring into this world,” Butker said in the mid-May speech .

“I can tell you that my beautiful wife Isabelle would be the first to say that her life truly began when she began living her calling as a wife and as a mother,” Butker added. “I stand on this stage today and I can be the man I am because I have a wife who is focused on her calling.”
“I have been beyond blessed with the many talents God has given me, but it cannot be overstated that all of my success has been made possible because a girl I met in band class in high school would convert to the faith , would become my wife and embrace one of the most important titles of all: housewife,” Butker concluded.
Also as part of the speech, Butker criticized President Joe Biden.
The Chiefs frog was in Washington DC last month to celebrate the team’s trip with Biden at the White House.
“Our own nation is led by a man who publicly and proudly proclaims his Catholic faith, yet is so misguided that he makes the sign of the cross at a pro-abortion rally,” Butker said.
“He has been so outspoken in his support for the murder of innocent babies that I’m sure to many people it seems like you can be both Catholic and pro-choice,” Butker continued.
Butker wore his two previous championship rings, which he won with the Chiefs in 2020 and 2023, at this year’s ring ceremony.
This year’s championship ring has 529 diamonds and 38 rubies. according to the chefs.
