The Swedish Royal Family has shared two adorable new portraits of Prince Oscar to mark his seventh birthday.

Oscar, Duke of Skåne, is the youngest son of the future Swedish queen, Crown Princess Victoria, 45, and her husband, Prince Daniel, 49.

The first of the two images, shared with the Royal House instagram account yesterday, it showed the prince posing with the family’s Cavapoo, Rio, on a cream sofa at their Haga Palace home in Haga Park, Solna.

In the second photograph, Oscar was joined by his 11-year-old sister, Princess Estelle. The couple was captured sitting back to back on a staircase as they smiled for the camera.

Oscar opted for gray jeans and a brown cardigan with black shoes. His sister looked equally elegant in a white top and houndstooth skirt.

He is third in line to the throne after his mother and older sister, Princess Estelle, who was born in February 2012.

Addressing the media after the birth of his son, Crown Prince Daniel said he had tears on his face when his son was born, just as he had during Estelle’s birth.

“Obviously everyone is very happy,” Prince Daniel said, according to Expressen. “I haven’t had time to feel what it feels like to be the father of two children yet, but it obviously feels good.”

She then added, “Estelle, of course, is really excited and happy to be a big sister.”
