Hannibal creator Bryan Fuller has been accused of sexual assault by a producer on his series Queer for Fear.

In a lawsuit filed Wednesday in California, producer Samuel Wineman alleges that AMC Networks and Steakhaus Productions ignored his complaints about Fuller, which allegedly included an incident in which the TV creator “pressed his penis against his butt ‘ under the guise of having cracked his back.

Wineman said that “Fuller’s acts of and propensity to commit acts of discrimination, sexual harassment, sexual assault and retaliation” were known to the show’s producers but “failed to take immediate and appropriate corrective action,” such as was first reported by The Hollywood Reporter. . Fuller denied the claims.

The producer, whose best-known work is The Quiet Room, claimed Fuller assaulted him several times in 2021 and that his ‘preoccupation with masturbation permeates everything’, with the showrunner ‘often bringing up his penis’.

Fuller, 54, allegedly often discussed “reading material that gave him erections,” as well as actors he “masturbed so much” or “adult/child power dynamics in stories that he “wished.”

The showrunner is also accused of creating a hostile work environment that included “relentless verbal harassment and casual bullying.” Wineman says Fuller “made discriminatory comments against groups to which crew and interviewees belonged, including the plaintiff, and frequently proclaimed his hatred of all gay men.”

Wineman claims Fuller would often retaliate by ignoring him for weeks, sabotaging shoots and berating him until he cried. The executive producer says he was fired prematurely and cut his credits as Fuller’s final revenge.

Queer for Fear was a four-part documentary series about the gay community’s relationship to the horror and thriller genres and the role played by LGBTQ+ artists. It started last year during the Halloween season and ran on Shudder.

Wineman said he was fired in August 2021 after reporting Fuller’s alleged behavior to Shudder VP Nick Lazo and others.

The lawsuit states: ‘AMC Defendants and Executive Producer Defendants ignored all warning signs, Mr. Fuller’s illegal conduct was facilitated and permitted and ultimately Mr. Fuller’s behavior and comments validated.

‘Defendants’ last retaliatory act was to reduce the plaintiff’s earned credits when the production aired on or around September 30, 2022.’

DailyMail.com reached out to Fuller, AMC Networks and Steakhaus Productions for comment on this story, but they did not respond by press time.

AMC told The Hollywood Reporter it is reviewing Wineman’s complaint.

Apart from the mega hit Hannibal, Fuller has worked on Heroes, Star Trek: Discovery and Dead Like Me

Fuller’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, told Deadline that the showrunner denies the allegations.

“Make no mistake, Sam Wineman will be sued for defamation based on what are 100 percent likely false statements,” he said.

‘There is documented evidence that completely refutes the allegations against Bryan Fuller… Wineman created this fictitious story long after his gross incompetence necessitated his removal in an attempt to extort AMC, Shudder, Steakhaus and Bryan Fuller.

‘He never raised any allegation of wrongdoing before his removal because he knew it was absolute rubbish. Sam Wineman just made the biggest mistake of his life and once the evidence comes out he will forever be known as a pathological liar. Rest assured; A malicious prosecution suit aimed directly at him is coming soon.’
