Hannah Spearritt admits she doesn’t know if she will ever sing with S Club again after Paul Cattermole’s death and quitting the reunion tour
Hannah Spirit has admitted she doesn’t know if she’ll ever sing with S Club again after pulling out of a reunion tour following the death of Paul Cattermole.
The singer, 42, left the newly reunited band’s tour in May just weeks after her bandmate and ex-boyfriend Paul tragically died.
Paul was found dead at the age of 46 on April 6 at his home in Dorset, with no suspicious circumstances surrounding his sudden death.
Now Hannah has opened up about how ‘everything’ changed for her after Paul’s death and gave her time to think about whether returning to the band was the right thing to do.
She admitted she doesn’t know if she’ll ever rejoin S Club on stage after leaving the newly reunited band’s tour in May.

Hannah said Sun: ‘Will I ever perform with them again? I just don’t know, I’m glad the tour is still going on and the songs will live on, but now I’m looking forward, not back.’
She also revealed she had ‘panic attacks’ before leaving the tour as she spoke about how her health was suffering at the time.
“I haven’t been in the best of health — I have a compromised immune system and stress makes it worse,” she continued.
“My body just couldn’t handle everything that was happening.” I wasn’t myself, I was having these panic attacks, I was suffering from really bad dizziness and I was tired all the time.’
Hannah said her health was affecting her children – Theo, 4, and Tora, 2, who she shares with Adam Thomas – as she didn’t have the energy to do anything with them.
She explained that after Paul’s death, she realized she couldn’t rejoin the S Club on tour, admitting that ‘it just didn’t feel right’.
Hannah apologized to S Club fans for not choosing to leave, but said she had to do what was best for herself and her family.

Her bandmates Rachel Stevens, 45, John Lee, 41, Bradley McIntosh, 42, Joe O’Meara, 44, and Tina Barrett, 47, will kick off the S Club tour – which is dedicated to Paul – on October 12.
Hannah claimed she had not been in touch with her former bandmates since leaving the band, admitting she was sad that she hadn’t, but insisted she wished them “all the best”.
Looking to the future, Hannah is now joining the Dancing On Ice cast and preparing to release her book Facing the Music next week.
Hannah pulled out of the tour earlier this year, and her bandmates confirmed the news in a video where they also paid tribute to Paul following his death.
Addressing Hannah’s absence from the video, John continued: “You’ve probably noticed by now that there are only five of us today and while Hannah will always be a part of S Club 7, she won’t be joining us on this tour.
“We wish her all the best in the future.” However, the five of us are ready and willing to move on. It will be our tribute to Paul.

“So we’re actually renaming the tour The Good Times Tour, the song that Paul was going to sing.”
Hannah and Paul dated since 2001 before splitting in 2006, with the pair rekindling their romance in 2015 before finally splitting just months later.
S Club 7 announced in February of this year that they will embark on a reunion tour in October to mark their 25th anniversary as a band.
Paul was found dead at his home in Dorset on April 6, and the sad news came just six months before all seven singers were due to take part in the S Club tour.
