Handsome British actor looks unrecognizable as Captain Hook
Jude Law looked completely unrecognizable in a new role he promised would ‘give kids nightmares’ as he transformed into the terrifying Captain Hook.
The first images of the British actor, 50, show him sporting long messy hair and a full mustache while wearing a weather-worn captain’s uniform.
Jude showed off the character’s iconic hook in the creepy snap as he prepares to play the antagonist in the upcoming Disney film, Peter Pan & Wendy.
The father of seven, who recently welcomed his youngest son, said he was thrilled that the movie’s trailer portrayed him as terrifying.
He said: “I think it’s important. Part of childhood is the nightmares and fears that we all have…and Hook, like many of the Disney villains, embodies that.”
Paaan! Jude Law looked completely unrecognizable in a new role he promised would ‘give kids nightmares’ as he transformed into the terrifying Captain Hook.
Jude told Fox TV: “It was something I wanted to highlight. I didn’t want to be the subject of childhood nightmares, but it seemed important to me.
‘You go back to the book and they talk about him being the only pirate that Long John Silver was afraid of.
“But there’s a beautiful detail in this version where you can look back and understand a little bit why it’s there and why it behaves the way it does.”
Jude also touched on his actual mustache, adding, “I was lucky that right before I played Hook I had a huge beard, so the only thing I knew if I played him was that I had to have my own tache.” I didn’t want to hit anything. it would not have been authentic
‘So luckily I had this huge mustache that I plucked every day and I became obsessed. That became an important part’
