Hamptons hotel murder twist: Sugar daddy kills himself after fleeing luxury resort where ‘muse’ was found dead
The sugar daddy suspect in the slaying of a 33-year-old artist at a luxury Hamptons spa hotel has committed suicide, police said Wednesday.
Thomas Gannon, 56, was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound at his home on Hidden Brooke Drive in Honesdale, Pennsylvania.
His alleged victim Sabina Rosas was found dead in a bedroom at the Shou Sugi Ban House in Water Mill, Suffolk County, on Monday afternoon.
Gannon reportedly fled the $1,250-a-night hotel Monday morning and took a taxi to the Pennsylvania property, about a four-hour drive from Long Island.
Rosa’s fiancĂ© and her mentor confirmed to the Daily Mail that she had been in a relationship with Gannon. Before naming the suspect, Suffolk County police had indicated they believed Rosas’ murder was a domestic incident.

Rosas, who goes by another surname as Sabina Khorramdel, was arrested in Miami last year for battery and is seen with a black eye in her mugshots.
Police have not yet released the victim’s cause of death pending an autopsy.
In a statement, Rosas’ heartbroken relatives shared their grief and called her Sabina Khorramdel.
âIt is with immense sadness that we announce the tragic death of Sabina Khorramdel, our beloved daughter, sister, fiancĂ©e and friend.
‘She was found murdered in a spa hotel near Southampton on Monday 28 October 2024.
âAs the eldest of three daughters, Sabina brought excitement, adventure, joy and love to our family.
âShe is survived by her loving mother, father, fiancĂ© and divorced husband.
âWe are devastated by this senseless loss and ask for privacy as we navigate this incredibly difficult time.
‘We urge anyone with information about the circumstances of Sabina’s death to come forward and assist with the ongoing investigation.
âYour support during this challenging time is a testament to how special Sabina was and will continue to be.â
Their message ended with a request for privacy as they mourned the loss of their beloved family member.

Shou Sugi Ban House is ‘a private sanctuary and gated grounds surrounded by evergreen trees and lush grasses.’
The retreat, which opened in 2019, has been featured in goop, Vogue and Conde Nast Traveler, among others.
It offers 13 guest studios spread over three acres, as well as âself-contained luxury residences for short-term rentals,â according to its website.
The studios, which can accommodate up to guests, offer a âluxurious soaking tub,â a modern gas fireplace and private garden patios.
Former guests of the hotel include actress Kate Hudson and journalist Katie Couric.
DailyMail.com has contacted the hotel for comment but has not yet issued a statement on the killing.
Residents from the area told it News 12 Long Island they were shocked by the apparent murder at the luxury retreat.
‘It’s a total shock, it has a good reputation in that place [I’ve] I’ve never heard anything bad about it. I know people who have used it,â said one local.
