Hamish Blake was the doting dad through and through on Friday as he created a lavish, bespoke Minecraft cake to celebrate his son’s 10th birthday.
The comedian, 42, who has built a reputation for his incredible cake baking skills, shared a gallery of clips on Instagram of himself preparing the treat.
‘I’m going to the shops because tonight is Cake Night, Sonny’s tenth birthday! Tonight’s cake is a ten-year-old’s ultimate fantasy,” he told his fans.
‘It’s from the game Minecraft, a landscape, with a pile of TNT that “really explodes” and a Roblox guy. My mind is wandering about how to put this together, nothing a good single malt and optimism can’t solve.’
Hamish then shared a variety of photos showing him baking the cake from scratch, masterfully creating a chocolate pastry with green icing and edible figurines.

He was then seen taking a few sips of whiskey to keep the momentum going as he expertly prepared the delicious delicacy.
Once completed, Hamish showed off his masterfully prepared video game cake to his fans and captioned it with some cheeky words: ‘Squint and it’s bloody Minecraft.’

Hamish, who is known to take up to seven hours to prepare his spectacular treats, admitted he does drink a bit to complete the task.
Appears on Jase & Lauren from Nova 100 show, Hamish was asked if he suffered from a hangover after drinking what the Lego Masters presenter calls ‘building juice’.
“No, bizarrely it has become a bit of a tradition,” he told hosts Jason Hawkins and Lauren Phillips.
He continued: ‘I don’t drink that much actually, pie night is one of my heavier drinking nights of the year. I’m so high, mostly on sugar and lots of frosting and stuff.”

He added that he would feel the impact of his ‘construction juice’ earlier in the day after throwing a party for one of his two children who he shares with Zoë Foster, 42.
The couple married in 2012 and have son Sonny and daughter Rudy, seven.
