Halsey was spotted for the first time since revealing her painful health issues as the star picked up flowers in LA on Friday.
The Without Me singer, 29, who confirmed on Wednesday that she had been diagnosed with both lupus and a ‘rare T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder’, put on a brave face as she stepped out of the supermarket.
The beaming musician chatted with friends while holding a pair of yellow roses, wearing a light blue shirt and leather pants.
The star showed off her numerous arm tattoos as she walked to her car and drove away.
The sighting comes after Halsey — born Ashley Nicolette Frangipane and who uses they/them pronouns — took to Instagram earlier Tuesday to tell fans about her struggles with serious medical issues ahead of the release of their fifth studio album, but did not specify what circumstances they faced.

However, she did tag the Lupus Research Alliance and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
In addition to providing clarity on her diagnosis, Halsey also thanked her fans for their support and added an optimistic update, noting that her condition was currently “managed or in remission.”
Referring to the release of her new single, Halsey said: ‘Thank you guys for the incredible amount of love for The End and the support you’ve shown me since its release.
“I realize that everyone is catching up on news that I’ve been holding on to for a long time, and I wasn’t sure how much I wanted to share,” she continued.
“You’ve all been so kind, so I wanted to share some more. In 2022 I was first diagnosed with Lupus SLE [systemic lupus erythematosus, the more technical name for lupus] and then a rare T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder,” she explained.
Halsey noted that “both are currently being treated or in remission,” but she added that she would likely be dealing with the conditions in some form “for the duration of my life.”
“After a difficult start, I slowly got everything under control, with the help of great doctors,” she added optimistically.
‘After two years I feel better and am more grateful than ever that I have music.

After hinting at her diagnoses for the first time in a recent post, Halsey is setting the record straight. In an Instagram post on Wednesday, she wrote that she had been diagnosed with both lupus and a “rare T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder.”
“I can’t wait to be back where I belong: with all of you [gray heart emoji] Singing and screaming to the max,” Halsey added.

Lymphoproliferative disorders are a group of diseases that cause uncontrolled production of lymphocytes, a type of white blood cell. The conditions include several forms of cancer
Symptoms may include pain and swelling in the joints and throughout the body, as well as rashes and fatigue.
However, the condition can go into remission, with few or no obvious symptoms.

Halsey indicated that their condition involved T cells, suggesting it is a condition in which too many cells, a type of white blood cell, destroy other cells that have been taken over by foreign invaders, or attack cancer cells.
Her condition could refer to multiple types of cancer of varying severity.
Among her new photos were images of Halsey wearing a long blonde wig with thick waves.
In one photo she played an acoustic guitar on a couch and in an accompanying collage she stared at a small television set.
One photo showed her sitting at a piano, and another collage included several childhood photos, although it was not clear whether they showed her.
Halsey told their fans in her post on Tuesday that she was “lucky to be alive” due to her ongoing health issues, alongside a carousel of images and videos that showed one of them in the hospital, hooked up to an IV.
‘Long story short, I’m lucky to be alive. To make a short story: I wrote an album,” she announced.
“I feel like an old lady,” Halsey said in a video accompanying the post as she rubbed her legs in obvious pain. ‘I told myself I’ll give myself two more years to be sick.
On Tuesday, she shared videos and photos of herself receiving treatments at the hospital, along with a video of herself making music
She recorded a short clip while in a studio apparently recording her new single, The End. Throughout the segment, she strummed notes on a guitar while singing some lyrics
A short montage of her health struggles was also candidly shared with her fans, including how she broke down in tears and was treated
“At 30, I’ll have a rebirth and I won’t be sick and I’ll look great and have lots of energy, and I’ll just be able to relive my twenties in my thirties.”
Other clips included glimpses of the singer in hospital undergoing treatments, while another showed her singing in a studio and strumming a guitar while apparently recording her new single The End, which she released at the same time.
A quick self-shot showed the singer in the hospital for what they said was “day one of treatment.”
Although she tried to keep an optimistic tone, she also included a clip where she burst into tears during the editing.
