The 29-year-old singer shared a video of herself in a hospital bed with her fiancé Avon Jogia by her side, in which she opens up about her condition.
She joked with the clip on Instagram: ‘Happy Belated Bi Visibility Day.’
“This year I’m celebrating by dying with a man by my side (for legal reasons that’s a joke).”
The Lucky singer – who was diagnosed with a lupus flare-up following the MTV VMAs – later responded to fans asking more about her health issue on X, formerly Twitter, as one person questioned whether her hospitalization was due to a chronic health issue.

Halsey — who has been candid about her struggles with endometriosis and other conditions — wrote, “I had a flare-up! So scary! I do not recommend it!”
And she assured another follower that she is now home safe.
She added: ‘I’m now home from hospital after a few days, so a win is a win!’
Last summer she spoke openly about her health problems, which caused her to be “sick very often” and lose “a lot of weight.”
Last month she told the SheMD podcast: ‘I have lupus and sometimes lupus has other complications.
‘A few years ago I announced that I have Sjögren’s syndrome, a condition that often has comorbidities (along with lupus).
“Because lupus is an autoimmune disease, it can sometimes suppress your immune system to the point where you develop a T-cell disorder.”
Halsey, who has a three-year-old son, Ender, with screenwriter Alev Aydin, recently admitted she was “terrified” after falling ill shortly after giving birth.
She told The Hollywood Reporter: ‘I was in that in-between space, waiting for months for answers from doctors, you know, not only could I not be in a position to be a musician anymore, but now I don’t even know if I’m going to be a musician anymore. And that was terrifying.

“I got sick and couldn’t leave my house,” Halsey told the newspaper.
‘Your body starts to look different. You lose your hair as if it was just a completely transformative experience.
It’s like the best thing that ever happened to me. [becoming a mom]And then suddenly something very scary happened to me.
“And then I knew I had to start writing, because I knew that would help me process what was happening.”
