“Nothing matters if I go home,” Halsey said Billboard. “He thinks I’m perfect and awesome and everything.”
“I’m going to create when I want,” the hitmaker declared. “The only expectation I have of myself is that I will be a very good mother, and everything else will fall into place around that.”

And when it comes to her boyfriend, Alev Aydin — whom she met in 2018 when he was hired to write her never-before-released Sony Pictures biopic — Halsey couldn’t be happier.
“I love my partner,” she stated in an interview with Zane Lowe of Apple Music. “Our relationship is so full of love and passion and communication.”
Last Sunday it was announced that Halsey had cut ties with her old label partner Capitol Records after an eight-year relationship.
Over the course of her career, the pop star has released four studio albums through Capitol Music Group and Capitol Records itself.
“After eight amazing years, the decision to leave Capitol is bittersweet, but we’re excited about exploring a new collaboration and sharing new music with fans,” wrote Halsey’s executives Jason Aron and Anthony Li of Anti-Pop. , in a statement.
It comes nearly a year after the Without Me singer-songwriter got into a public dispute with Capitol.
Halsey accused the label of shelving her single So Good until a viral TikTok campaign was linked to it.
“My record company says I can’t release it unless they can fake a viral moment on TikTok,” she said in May 2022.
‘Everything is marketing and they do that with almost every artist these days. I just wanna release music, man. And I deserve better tbh.’
Halsey added, “Actually I have a song I love that I want to release as soon as possible. But my record label won’t let me.’
A Capitol Music Group spokesperson responded to the artist’s posts in a statement to Billboard: “Our belief in Halsey as a special and important artist is total and unwavering. We can’t wait for the world to hear their brilliant new music.’
“We have nothing but a desire to help each of our artists succeed and hope we can continue to have these critical conversations,” the statement continues.
Ultimately, So Good was released on June 9, 2022, just over a month after the dispute was made public.
Halsey’s most recent album, If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power, was released in August 2021.
