Halloweentown stars Kimberly J. Brown and Daniel Kountz tie the knot after meeting two decades ago while filming Disney sequel

Halloweentown stars Kimberly J. Brown and Daniel Kountz are married.

On Friday, the former Disney stars tied the knot in an intimate outdoor wedding at the Spanish Hills Club in Camarillo, California, with 92 of their loved ones in attendance.

Brown, 39, and Kountz, 45, shared their excitement about their ‘dream come true’ wedding day and remembered their ill-fated love story alongside beautiful photos obtained by People.

Two years earlier, in June 2022, the couple got engaged at the Griffith Observatory, where they had their first date, in Los Angeles.

It was on the anniversary of the fact that they made their relationship official and started calling each other their boyfriend and girlfriend when he asked her to marry him.

“We literally went right in front of the observatory where we hung out on our first official date,” Brown recalled of the romantic moment. “He proposed in the exact same place, and it was truly the perfect night.”

However, their love story actually dates back twenty years, even though they were just friends at the time with no romantic feelings between them.

Brown recalled that she and her now husband “got along great” during filming, but were just friends, as she said there were “never any romantic discussions, thoughts or feelings during that time.”

Brown told the outlet that she contacted her former colleague about a video she was working on for her YouTube channel.

“I was recording some comedy sketches for my YouTube channel and thought, ‘Some fans might recognize it and think it’s cool,’ so I reached out to him,” she said.

It was then, she explained, that sparks started flying and their romantic relationship began.

“We worked on the sketches, but we also started to catch feelings, I think, as the kids say.”

From Kountz’s perspective, he said he was amazed at how “beautiful” she was when they met after so many years and immediately fell “in love.”

“We met at a bar, and I waited there until a little Kimberly J. Brown walked in and a beautiful, well-built, mature woman walked in.

‘I thought, “Oh, well, hello there. I guess we’ve both grown up a bit.” Then that was pretty much the case for me. I was in love.’
