Some people like to go all out for Halloween and cover their homes with fake blood and “do not enter” signs.

However, is it possible to go too far with the spooky decor?

A German man’s ‘realistic’ Halloween decorations have sparked backlash on social media, with users saying they would ‘call 911 if they walked past’.

@mvxngg’s video is captioned, “Halloween decor! I made these windows with a bedroom sheet, 2 lamps and a fan.’

It zooms in on his house, which he made a little too good at looking like it was on fire, before revealing what the interior actually looked like.

Someone else, hinting that decorations could become too realistic, wrote, “You know what’s really funny: When someone sees a dead body or a house on fire on Halloween, they just think it’s a decoration.”

Other concerned users said: ‘I love Halloween decs etc but I don’t like this, it’s awful’ and ‘I would have called 999 if I’d been walking past!!’

It comes just after a South Carolina mother who is “obsessed” with Halloween chose to take down her “morbid” decorations after her neighbor’s father was diagnosed with lung cancer.

The video has been viewed more than 1.2 million times and the TikToker was praised for her kindness after she deleted her graveyard scene, which featured skeletons holding a coffin and cardboard gravestones.

Earlier this month, a lawnmower mowed around a real corpse because they thought it was a spooky Halloween decoration, relatives of the deceased confirmed.

The half-naked dead body of Robert Paul Owens, 34, was found face down outside an abandoned home in China Grove, North Carolina.

A lawn care worker discovered the body, but did not report the find because they thought it was a creepy Halloween prop.
