Halle Berry SLAMS Drake for using her photo ‘without permission’ on cover art for Slime You Out single…as rapper POSTPONES release date for album For All The Dogs
Halle Berry called out Drake for using her photo without permission to promote his latest single with SZA called Slime You Out — and uploaded a cryptic Instagram post in response on Friday.
The Monster’s Ball actress, 57, who recently stunned at the Michael Kors NYFW show, appeared in the cover art for the newly released issue, which was a look back at how she lost weight at the 2012 Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards.
However, the Oscar winner wasn’t too happy about her slimmed-down image being used to promote the joint song on social media – which was released on Friday.
She uploaded a post to her main Instagram page that read, “Sometimes you gotta be the bigger man… even if you’re a woman!”
Although the post did not directly mention Drake, 36, she responded to social media users in the comments section labeling the music artist’s action as “not cool.”

Slimming! The Monster’s Ball actress appeared in the cover art for the newly released issue, a throwback to how she lost weight at the 2012 Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards
One fan had asked the star about her feelings about the use of her image, and Berry responded with, “I didn’t get my consent. That’s not cool, I thought better of him!
The beauty then explained the reasoning behind the post, writing: ‘Hence my post today. When people you admire disappoint you, you have to be the bigger person and move on!’
Others further showed their support for Halle’s position, with one saying: “Getting permission from others is always important when using something that belongs to them (including their image and likeness).”
The follower added: ‘It’s sad that people often ignore the value of respect and civility.’
Another wrote: ‘You have every right to be angry. It’s simple politeness. It’s her photo and permission is required. Period of time!’
While her slimmed-down image was used to promote Slime You Out on social media, the song’s official cover was a drawing done by Drake’s own five-year-old son, Adonis – which is also the cover of his upcoming album: For All The Dogs.
The single officially dropped earlier this week on Friday, September 15 and featured Drake’s ex-girlfriend and fellow singer SZA.
Both took to their main Instagram pages to promote the song, each using the throwback snap of Halle being stripped down at the recent awards show.

Drake simply captioned his post with a big-eyed emoji and a green heart emoji, though he didn’t reveal anything else.
SZA — who debuted her Snooze music video with Justin Bieber last month — shared the same image, though she captioned it with a green vomiting emoji, a face with hand-in-mouth emoji, and a googly eye emoji.
The One Dance rapper initially teased that he would drop the song during a recent concert in Austin, Texas for his It’s All a Blur tour.
“I know you’re all excited to hear the album. I know it’s only two weeks away, but I’m going to drop a song this week – just to let you know what’s going on,” Drake told the crowd.
Drake revealed that he and SZA were once together in the lyrics of his 2021 song Mr Right Now.
“Yeah, she said she wanted to fuck some SZA, wait, because I had a date with SZA in ’08,” the lyrics read, though they weren’t entirely accurate.

“So it was basically 2009 lol,” SZA tweeted, suggesting Drake was just trying to rhyme with “wait.” Anyway, Drake and SZA were involved in and around the early days of his on-off romance with Rihanna.
Slime You Out is included on Drake’s upcoming album For All The Dogs, which was originally set to be released later this month on September 22nd.
However, on Friday, the star revealed on his Instagram Stories that the release date has been postponed until next month.
“Okay, my dilemma I’m facing is either cancel shows to finish the album, or I complete the mission and drop the album before the last show….”

He continued, “I owe you all these memories we are building, and everywhere we have missed so far, we will definitely be back. For all dogs October 6. It’s only right…’
Drake’s current It’s All a Blur tour ends next month on October 9 in Columbus, Ohio. On the new release date, the rapper will perform in his home city of Toronto.
Notably, For All The Dogs is the artist’s eighth studio album and his first solo LP since the release of Honestly, Nevermind in June 2022.
Later that same year, the Grammy winner released the collaborative album Her Loss with fellow rapper 21 Savage in November.
