Halle Berry says Pierce Brosnan ‘restored her faith in men’ after going through two divorces

She has had her fair share of bitter relationships, some of which ended in divorce, restraining orders and lawsuits.

But Halle Berry said Pierce Brosnan “restored her faith in men” after they starred together in the 2002 James Bond film.

The 58-year-old actress played Bond girl Jinx in 2002’s Die Another Day, opposite 71-year-old Pierce.

The film was Brosnan’s final 007 appearance after a seven-year run that began in 1995.

Between 1992 and 1996, Berry was married to baseball player David Justice.

The marriage ended in a rocky divorce, with Justice accused of abusing Berry, allegations he has since denied.

When they divorced in 1997, Berry filed for a restraining order against Justice, claiming he had hung around outside their house for four hours and “demanded to come inside” to retrieve some belongings.

Between 1999 and 2003, Berry had a relationship with Eric Benet, whom she had to confront about his infidelity during the filming of Die Another Day in London.

“He will always be my Bond, always,” Berry said in an interview with Wired.

“I’m a fan of Pierce Brosnan. He restored my faith in men in that movie. There can’t be a more gentlemanly person than Pierce Brosnan.

‘Bond wasn’t on my wish list, no, not to be in a film, but I loved the films, always. Now that I’ve been in a film, I feel like I’m part of film history.

“Those films are iconic. They will forever be a part of our history, and I feel truly honored to have been a part of them, especially with Pierce.”

Berry’s Jinx in Die Another Day proved so popular with Bond fans that franchise producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson began making plans for Berry’s own spin-off film.

Ms. Berry is now married to Van Hunt, a Grammy Award-winning musician.

In 2021, they made their red carpet debut together and have recently been rumored to be engaged and even tied the knot.

Berry also has a daughter, Nahla, with model Gabriel Aubry, whom she dated from 2006 to 2010.

She also has a son Maceo with French actor Olivier Martinez, with whom she was in a relationship between 2010 and 2015.
