Halle Bailey is pushing back against those who claim she lied about her pregnancy.
The 23-year-old actress and singer, who welcomed her son Halo with her partner DDG (Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr.), 26, in late 2023, posted an angry missive on X, formerly known as Twitter Sunday.
She initially angered fans by sharing a flashback video on Snapchat, writing, “Lmaoo y’all remember seeing these pics on my insta? we photoshopped my belly out (laughing emojis).”
But fans didn’t exactly see the funny side of it and accused her of being a ‘liar’ for using computer trickery to hide the pregnancy.
She then defended her decision, writing, “I never lied about it or even said anything about it honey, making a joke about my nose was the furthest I went.”
‘I’ll never understand why you’re angry. I have protected my own peace, wouldn’t you do the same?’ the Little Mermaid star asked.
She then ended with a defiant note: ‘and I’m going to share my pictures now if I want to because my son is safe here, if you don’t want to see it just keep scrolling baby lol God bless you!’

Shortly after, the postpartum mom shared, “lol my hormones have been at 10 lately so I’m going back to staying off Twitter. I love you all.”
The Color Purple star quietly announced the arrival of her firstborn on Jan. 6, sharing a sweet snap of the baby’s hand in hers.
The child wore a gold bracelet with his name engraved on it.
“Even though we’re already a few days into the new year, the best thing 2023 could have done for me was having my son…” she cooed.

DDG shared the same photo caption, ‘my biggest blessing by far… never been so in love. baby halo.”
The little one’s arrival was warmly welcomed by Halle’s friends, including Serena Williams, Nicki Minaj and Tia Mowrey.

And while her hormones may be out of whack, the new mom seems to have recovered well from her pregnancy.
The ROYL artist showed off her toned stomach in black denim cargo pants and a sleeveless crop top in a photo on Instagram.
“Mama” was written next to the photo as Halle stood from a sound board.
Her latest single, Angel, has been nominated for a Grammy for Best R&B Song.
The winners will be announced on February 4.
