Haley Joel Osment doesn’t look like this anymore! The Sixth Sense child star shocks in rare Australian TV interview

He rose to fame after starring in the 1999 psychological thriller The Sixth Sense, opposite Bruce Willis.

And Haley Joel Osment was unrecognizable when he surprised fans with a rare TV appearance on Thursday.

The 36-year-old American actor appeared very different from his young character in the series in an interview with Channel Seven’s The Morning Show.

Haley sported a dark beard and long locks that framed his face as he discussed his exciting new project.

He will be starring Zoë Kravitz‘s new directorial debut film, Blink twicealongside Naomi Ackie, Channing Tatum, Alia Shawkat and Christian Slater.

“It was an amazing experience doing it with Zoe. It was her directorial debut and we lived together in the jungle on the Yucatan Peninsula for about two months,” he revealed.

“It was just an amazing experience working with that cast.”

“The group chat is still very active. That’s how strong the connection is that we still have with each other two years later.”

The interview comes after Haley recently talked about his long hiatus from acting and his return to Hollywood after 15 years.

The actor candidly spoke about why he initially decided to take a break and reflected on becoming famous at a young age.

Last month he told ENews: ‘When I first started in this industry, my parents always said, ‘If it ever stops being fun, you can quit tomorrow.’

“When I was in college, I went to college to study theater and thought carefully about whether I wanted to make it my career,” he recalls.

“The answer has always been yes to all of these moments,” he continued, noting that he made the choices despite the fact that he had always had a passion for acting.

“It’s still a job I really enjoy, despite all the uncertainty and the difficulty of planning your life three to six months ahead,” Haley explains.

After receiving an Oscar nomination at age 11 and appearing in a number of notable films, he decided to take a break from acting and moved to New York City in 2006 to study at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.

In 2006, he was also given a suspended sentence after pleading guilty to driving under the influence and marijuana possession.

Around the same time, his younger sister Emily Osment also landed her big role on Hannah Montana.
