Her father Brad Reid said it was a “miracle” that his daughter survived.
“After the longest week of life-saving surgeries, she miraculously defied all odds and is still with us,” he said.
“She has the biggest fight ahead of her, but she’s one of the strongest people I know and she’s ready for this fight! T-Bomb will come out of this stronger than ever!’
Ms. Reid’s aunt, Kristin Small, has set up a GoFundMe page to raise money to support the family as she recovers. So far they have raised over $42,000.
Ms Small said her cousin ‘really is the definition of a survivor’.

“Tominey’s personality radiates warmth and resilience even in these difficult times. Tom has a series of very serious injuries but she is responding well,” Ms Small wrote.
“This appeal is not only to help with her ongoing medical/rehabilitation costs, but also to support her mortgage and other financial responsibilities.”
