Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s former cellmates reveal what it was really like to spend time with the convicted killer behind bars

Former inmates who claim to have spent time behind bars with Gypsy Rose Blanchard have come forward with new stories about the convicted killer.

On Tuesday, Sparks opened up about her experiences with Gypsy after the pair incarnated together at Chillicothe Correctional Center in Missouri.

Gypsy was released on parole in December after she and her ex-lover Nicholas Godejohn were arrested in July 2015 in the death of her mother Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard.

The couple’s “inseparable” bond ended when Gypsy broke free from her twisted mother’s control in 2015 by sneaking her besotted internet boyfriend Godejohn into the home she shared with her mother in Springfield, Missouri before meeting 48-year-old Dee Stabbed Dee 14 times. .

Godejohn and Gypsy were arrested and sentenced to prison terms, with Gypsy receiving a ten-year prison sentence for first-degree murder in July 2016 and Godejohn receiving a life sentence for first-degree murder in February 2019.

Tuesday, who said she was in prison from 2018 to 2022, revealed that she was Gypsy’s roommate for a time during her incarceration.

She told viewers online that Gypsy was “very childish” while they were in prison together, but that she still “stood up for what she believed.”

She said: ‘I’m not saying she was a bully in any way, but if she was treated unfairly she certainly spoke out about it.’

The criminal explained that in prison the gypsy enjoyed doing her hair, skin care and make-up, and that she ‘loved having her picture taken’.

While on Tuesday the gypsy she knew in prison was shown in a favorable light, other girls say they also served time with her, but were not as positive about their experience.

The alleged cellmates, who posted videos online but did not give their names, claimed the gypsy was “bragging” about her role in her mother’s death.

β€œShe literally bragged about giving the knife to Nick in there,” a cellmate said.

According to a probable cause statement, Godejohn told police that the gypsy asked him to kill her mother and that she hid in the bathroom while he stabbed the woman.

He stabbed her in the back while holding her face down on the bed.

The police assume that the knife was given to him by Gypsy. The pair then sent the murder weapon to his home in Big Bend so he wouldn’t be caught with it.

One said she “didn’t care about Godejohn” and claimed that “her stories were constantly changing.”

Tuesday, however, seemed more understanding of Gypsy’s circumstances, saying she told her “that she felt more freedom in prison than she had ever felt.”

She said: ‘The gypsy didn’t ask for this, she didn’t ask for her business to be famous, she didn’t ask for people to follow her, she didn’t ask for there to be a camera outside. prison when she was released; she didn’t ask for that.

‘Nothing in her life was ever normal, from a very young age. So I think she definitely acted irrationally, but it’s what she’s seen her whole life.”

Gypsy commented on Tuesday’s video and showed appreciation for her stance.

‘FINALLY words from someone who REALLY knew me in prison. Many want to malign my character simply to be recognized. Tuesday, thanks girl for telling the truth,” Gypsy responded.

From a very young age, Gypsy faced years of abuse from her mother, who suffered from Munchausen syndrome by proxy.

Dee Dee claimed that Gypsy suffered from a range of diseases, including leukemia and muscular dystrophy. She even went so far as to shave the gypsy’s head, force her into a wheelchair, have some of her teeth removed and walk her around at charity events, among other things.

Despite her now fame due to public interest in the case and her story, a cellmate claimed the gypsy flew under the radar in prison.

β€œShe looked like a nobody in there,” she said.

During an ABC interview, Gypsy said murdering her abusive mother was the “only way out” of years of abuse.

She also revealed that at the time of her mother’s murder, she was high on prescription painkillers to which she became addicted while living with Dee Dee.

Gypsy was expected to face a 10-year prison sentence, but served only eight and a half years after being released on parole on December 28.

“I take a bottle of honey to the shower, and I take two sugar cubes, and I melt the sugar cubes,” she revealed.

Her boyfriend, Ken Urker, sat next to her during the live video, as she admitted that this was also the first time he had heard about her unique skincare routine.
