Gypsy Rose Blanchard and her husband, Ryan Anderson, revealed how they got engaged while she was still in prison.

On Lifetime's The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard, her current husband, 37, said he proposed to her just four months after they met in person.

In the documentary series, the high school teacher explained that she had confessed to him that she had developed romantic feelings for him and asked him where their relationship was going.

He admitted that he had already fallen in love with her at that point and said he then decided to sneak an engagement ring into the Chillicothe Correctional Center in Missouri to propose.

During their third conjugal visit, he added a ring to his necklace and proposed to Gypsy, now 32, who recently said she relates to Taylor Swift and her music.

She was still in jail at the time of filming and remembered Ryan taking her by the hand and telling her about his love for her.

He then talked about their chemistry and how “cute” she looked when he saw her.

They would later get married in 2022 in a small ceremony in prison.

In late December 2023, Gypsy was released on parole three years early after serving seven of her ten-year sentence.

He was there to pick her up from jail and was by her side when she made her first red carpet appearance at the premiere of her new docuseries.

He also joined her on a Saturday night out in New York City, where they enjoyed a date at the Broadway show of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

Earlier in the day, they were spotted dancing in Central Park with a camera crew in tow to capture the moment.

Before the show started that night, Gypsy took to TikTok to share a video showing off their seats and how she “loved” the series.

He said he decided to smuggle an engagement ring into the Chillicothe Correctional Center in Missouri to propose to her during their third conjugal visit.

As a child, her mother Dee Dee picked her up from school and taught her to read the Harry Potter books.

The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard follows her story of being a victim of Munchausen Syndrome by proxy under the care of her mother.

Filmed prior to her release, she talks about being brutally abused as a child and later about her role in the brutal murder of her mother.

Part one of her six-hour docuseries, The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard, premiered on Lifetime on January 5 and is now available to stream.
