A gym fanatic captured the dramatic moment she fell while attempting a squat that resulted in the latest gym failure.

Jess Power Stone, a content creator from Bristol, hits the gym seven days a week and usually picks up her camera to check her shape.

However, this time an exercise that he likes to do regularly got worse after it was set up incorrectly.

While attempting a belt squat exercise, an error in judgment caused Jess to incorrectly connect the chain to the weight and stop it.

In the video, Jess is seen tentatively climbing onto a couple of large blocks as she shuffles the large weight attached to her belt over them as well.

Unbeknownst to her, she has incorrectly attached the chain that connects the weight to the belt.

The enormous weight almost instantly knocks her off her feet as she swings backwards causing her to lose her balance.

He waves his arms in the air to try to regain his composure, but he’s too late and he falls onto the blocks before he hits the ground.

A concerned gym goer rushes to her aid, but luckily finds that Jess was fine despite how dramatic her fall looked.

Jess said: ‘Everyone around me was worried, but I thought it was funny.

‘I found it more fun that I managed to capture it on camera. I was with a friend and she helped take the weight off after the fall.

‘Belt squats require a different posture and center of balance than any other squat movement, they are one of my favorite exercises.

‘My gym doesn’t have a belt squat machine so I had to use the equipment they have.

“I accidentally put the chain on the wrong side of the weight, which caused the weight to rotate and knock me backwards when I got up.”

Jess, who refers to herself as ‘your big sis from the gym’, turned the embarrassing moment into an empowering, if self-deprecating, message to others, captioning the clip: ‘If you ever have gym anxiety… think about this video’.

The gymfluencer has previously shared clips of herself successfully exercising and regularly shares workout routines with her followers on TikTok and Instagram.

If done correctly, belt squats are considered by exercise experts to be safer than other weighted squats, due to the lower risk of a barbell falling on you and may have less impact on your back.
