Gwyneth Paltrow’s mom Blythe Danner, 81, is ‘completely fine’ after taken by an ambulance following medical incident
Gwyneth Paltrow’s mother, Blythe Danner, suffered a medical emergency during a charity event in The Hamptons on Saturday.
The 81-year-old actress was taken away by ambulance, but is ‘completely fine’, according to a People Source of magazine.
“It was early in the event and she sat there for a while while they took her vitals. It didn’t look too bad, but they took her anyway,” the insider said.
Blythe attended EAT in the Hidden Gardens 2024 at the Springs Food Pantry in East Hampton, New York at the Corbett Estate.

Blythe’s spokesperson said the actress is “doing absolutely fine.”
A spokesperson for Gwyneth’s company Goop told People magazine that Blythe is “doing absolutely great.”
Blythe is best known for her roles in Meet the Parents, Forces of Nature, The Prince of Tides and 1776.
She was diagnosed with adenoid cystic carcinoma, a rare form of oral cancer in the salivary glands.
Since her diagnosis, she has undergone three surgeries, the third of which took place in 2020, to remove the cancerous tissue.
Blythe also underwent chemotherapy and radiation.
In 2022, Gwyneth said of her mother, “My mom is honestly one of the strongest people I know. I hope if I ever go through something like that, I can be just like her,” she shared People.
Blythe has a daughter Gwyneth and a son Jake with Bruce Paltrow, who died in 2002 at age 58 from the same oral cancer she had.
He was diagnosed in 1999.
He died on October 3, 2002 while in Rome with Gwyneth to celebrate her birthday. He himself died from complications of cancer and pneumonia.
They were married for 32 years, until his death.
