Is Glee making a comeback? Gwyneth Paltrow's husband, producer Brad Falchuk, teases his return while talking about reboot plans
Brad Falchuk would 'never say no' to a Glee remake.
The 52-year-old writer co-created the hit TV series with Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan, and Brad remains open to the possibility of reviving the series, but in a “more modern way.”
Brad – who is married to Oscar-winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow – shared it The Hollywood Reporter: “I'm sure everything is always on the table, but is there a way to tell that story in a more modern way?
“Glee was largely about moving from an old way of looking at representation to a new way. I would never say no, but I wonder what the point of it would be, other than making money.”
Glee focused on a glee club at a fictional high school in Ohio. The show – which was also plagued by tragedy and scandal – ran from 2009 to 2015 and proved to be a big hit with viewers.

Brad said, “None of us were prepared for that level of success.
“I was younger, it was a bit overwhelming, and a lot of us got caught up in our egos. There was a feeling of scarcity. We wrote about high school, so it's very hard not to regress a little. It was a melting pot.
“At the same time, we had so much fun and everyone got along so well. It all went wrong, and then everyone got along again. It was chaotic. I would never want to go back there, and then I think, 'Gosh, I'd like to go back there.'”
Brad also learned some important lessons from the success.
He said: 'The biggest lesson from that show? Take the ego out of everything and be mature.”
Falchuk met Gwyneth on the show in 2010 before beginning a romance with her years later and tying the knot in 2018. She has made numerous appearances on the music show.
The beloved series starred Lea Michele, Matthew Morrison, Jane Lynch, the late Cory Monteith, Chris Colfer, Kevin McHale, the late Naya Rivera, Jenna Ushkowitz and more before it went off the air in 2015.
Over the years it ran, the series scored numerous accolades, including multiple Primetime Emmy Awards and Golden Globe Awards.
In 2010, fans were able to see their favorite cast members live when the series embarked on a concert tour.
From 2010 to 2011, Glee Live! At concert! hit the road as several members of the cast perform.

A possible Glee remake was also discussed by fellow showrunner Ryan Murphy, who seemed open to revisiting the universe in 2022.
This certainly isn't the first time there has been talk about possibly bringing the show back in some format.
A possible Glee remake was also discussed by fellow showrunner Ryan Murphy, who seemed open to revisiting the universe in 2022.
“I'm at the stage now with that show, you know, where it's like enough time has passed. Maybe we really need to reexamine it as a brand,” he said on Kevin McHale and Jenna Ushkowitz's podcast: And you REALLY missed that.
“You know, should we reboot it somehow? Should we turn it into a Broadway musical somehow?'
'For example, it's a kind of interesting legacy that I'm interested in in a positive way, after taking a break for a while. But I do not know. I just love what it says and what it did. And there will never be another Glee in my life, anything even close to it, if I feel that close to it.”
The cast has mixed feelings about a possible Glee remake.
Grant Gustin – who played Sebastian Smythe – narrated it E! News last year, “That was some of the most fun I've ever had,” he explained. “So of course I would love that.”
Matthew Morrison, who played Will Schuester from 2009 to 2015, had no interest in returning to the world of Glee.
“That doesn't happen, not for me,” he explained Page six in 2019. “It was one of those moments in time — and it was a perfect moment — (but) they've had shows that tried to emulate what we did, and none of them really worked.”
Still, Morrison and his former castmates have stayed in touch. “We're (all) still very connected,” Matthew told the outlet. 'We are very involved in each other's lives… so we can help each other. Like Darren (Criss) or Lea (Michele) have a show… then some of us will show up.
Jayma Mays also said that a reboot should be “something new” when we think about the concept in 2022.

Chris Colfer (third from left) said he couldn't be persuaded to return to the world of Glee
'I don't have the creative brain that a good writer should come up with. But I think it has to be something new in itself,” said Jayma, who played Emma Pillsbury E! News.
Chris Colfer also said that he couldn't be persuaded to return to the world of Glee.
“Glee was an incredible, life-changing experience,” said Colfer, who played Kurt Hummel USA today in 2019.
“I think the best place to quote this is Dolly Parton,” he said, laughing. “No amount of money can take away the memories I have of that time, but no amount of money can make me go back and do it all over again.”
