Gwyneth Paltrow Faces BIG Backlash After Sharing Her Daily ‘Wellness’ Routine And Diet

Gwyneth Paltrow has sparked outrage after sharing her lengthy “daily wellness routine” and revealing that her diet consists of nothing but bone broth and veggies.

The 50-year-old Goop founder has rocked the internet after her interview with Dr. Will Cole for The Art of Being Well podcast earlier this week.

She touched on a range of topics — including keyboard warriors and “conscious uncoupling” — but it was her comments about her routine and diet that caused the biggest stir.

Dozens of social media users rushed to question her definition of “wellness,” as registered dietitians also urged people to “stop listening to celebrities.”

As part of the hour-long podcast, released March 12, Gwyneth was asked, “What’s your wellness routine like right now?”

Her response was cut into a 40-second clip that was then uploaded to the podcast network’s own TikTok account.

In it, the actress says: ‘I eat early in the evening. I do a nice intermittent fast.

“Usually I eat something around noon and in the morning I have things that don’t raise my blood sugar, so I drink coffee.”

“But I really like soup for lunch. I have bone broth for lunch most of the days. Try to get an hour of exercise, so I’ll take a walk or I’ll do Pilates or I’ll do my Tracy Anderson.

‘And then I dry off and get into the sauna. So I do my infrared sauna for half an hour and then I try to eat paleo for dinner, so lots of vegetables.’

She concluded, “It’s very important for me to support my detox.”

But the clip, which has been viewed more than 1.8 million times and received 13.2 thousand comments, was met with strong reactions.

One shocked user wrote, “Is starving wellness?”

Another added, “I feel lightheaded listening to this.”

And a third simply said, “I don’t recognize anything in this video.”

However, the criticism did not stop there, because professional dietitians also weighed in with their own thoughts.

Lauren Cadillac, based in Hoboken, New Jersey, created a duet with the clip on the video-sharing platform to share her reaction to Gwyneth’s revelations.

In it, the nutritionist repeatedly rolls her eyes, shakes her head, and gasps before claiming “bone broth is not a meal.”

She concludes, “This is not enough food. Support your detox from WHAT?! You eat nothing.

Lauren uploaded her clip with a caption that read, “This isn’t #wellness, this is CRAZY. THIS IS NOT ENOUGH FOOD, especially for someone who is 5’9”.

“Please stop following and listening to celebrities for your health and wellness advice.”

Gwyneth had started recording the podcast with an IV still in her arm.

She acknowledged the drip and said, “I’m really embarrassing myself here. I love a drip, I’m an early drip adopter.”

The actress revealed that her favorites were glutathione and phosphatidylcholine, adding, “They’re pretty hard to find, and I feel so good about that.”

Host Dr. Will Cole described the drip as “so strange for both of us,” adding, “We pod and drip at the same time.”

Gwyneth and Cole have been good friends for years.

Cole calls himself “Dr.” which would lead many to assume he went to medical school.

But in reality, the functional medicine practitioner has a doctorate in chiropractic from Southern California University of Health Sciences, a private school that focuses on alternative medicine.

His book “Intuitive Fasting” was the first to be published by Goop Press as part of the lifestyle brand’s publishing partnership with Rodale Books.

In the foreword, Gwyneth wrote, “Of all the different ways of eating I’ve tried over the years—from macrobiotic to vegan to I’ll-cleanse you-the-details—here’s what’s worked for me: intuitive eating. .

“When I eat what feels good to me, I feel my best.”

Elsewhere in the podcast, Gwyneth also revealed that the weirdest health procedure she’d ever done was rectal ozone therapy, where the powerful gas is delivered through a catheter into the colon.

She said, “I’ve been on ozone therapy, rectally. Can I say that? It’s pretty weird. It’s kind of weird, yes. But it’s been very helpful.’

Rectal ozone therapy benefits are said to include reduced pain and inflammation, increased energy, improved metabolism and circulation, boosted immune system, detoxification, anti-aging, and fighting bacterial and viral infections.
