Greater Western Sydney coach Adam Kingsley has shown off his impressive bench press skills to show he has lost none of his strength after being named the ‘most muscular coach in any football match’ two seasons ago in Australia’.

Kingsley, 48, set tongues wagging when fans noticed he had put on a serious amount of muscle mass since his playing days at Port Adelaide.

Radio personality and former Swans and Crows star Ryan Fitzgerald took to social media to reveal how impressed he was with Kingsley’s physique, calling him a ‘beast’.

Former world champion and Commonwealth Games gold medalist James Magnussen, who is no stranger to the weight room, went one step further.

‘I saw a picture of him yesterday, that man [Kingsley] has been picked up,’ laughed Magnussen on the radio.

“He has to be the most muscular coach in any form of football here in Australia. He’s muscular, shredded, the veins popping out, the whole outfit and nonsense.’

On Monday, a video from GWS’s social media team showed exactly how Kingsley has developed his physique.

In the clip, Kingsley can be seen doing bench presses before GWS AFLW coach Cameron Bernasconi pauses his training and attempts to lift the same amount of weight.

For those paying close attention, Kingsley can easily press 120 kg: he lifts four 20 kg plates, two 10 kg plates and the 20 kg barbell.

“He moves those things with ease,” one fan responded incredulously.

“No spotter?” replied another.

“Holy shit. He spends more time on the bench than most men ever do. GWS head coach Adam Kingsley is an animal!’ wrote a third.

Kingsley was rewarded for the transformation of GWS last year and was named coach of the year at the AFLCA Awards.

The first-year coach became the first person in Giants history to be recognized with this honor after turning around the club’s fortunes and leading them to the grand final.

“It is a huge honor to receive this award, especially as it is an award voted on by the other coaches,” he said afterwards.

‘I am grateful for the support I have received this season from the club and our players, as well as from a whole new coaching group and I am exceptionally proud of the way we have come together to build a whole new program .’
