A gunman killed two people and injured another when he launched a deadly attack on two locations in a southern Swiss city on Monday, police said.
The yet-to-be-identified man opened fire on several people in the city of Sion around 8 a.m. before fleeing, police in Valais state said.
Police have now launched a manhunt for the gunman, who allegedly shot his victims at the Sarosa painting company in the Ronquoz area and then in the Potences district of the small town.
The gunman appears to have known his victims, but did not provide further details or specify where he opened fire.
Local prosecutors have opened a murder investigation.
